SJ....no if's, and's, or but's, Brembo makes absolute top of the line calipers!!  I have them on both my other bikes.  On the SEVrod2, I'm unsure what HD did, but no brackets are required.  The only issue I have on the FL models and Brembo is the bracketry required for installation.  The PM, Hawg Halters, are direct bolt on applications with an 11.5 inch rotor.  It's just a personal thing with the brackets.

The four pad thing on the Brembo's sounds good too, and makes perfect sense that it would give the most pinch to the rotors.  I guess in the end it boils down to Brembo focusing more on bikes other than HD, so they adapt a caliper to many different applications through their brackets.  Easier to make a bracket than a whole bolt on caliper for every bike.

For me, at this point in time, the PM 4 pistons on going on both sides of the front fork, and on the rear, with new floating rotors all around to match the PM wheels I'm getting.

Wanna' buy a set of SEUC wheels, rotors, and tires?   ;D

P.S. Don't ever do what I did a few years ago unless you've had a few Negra Modelos or other adult beverage of your choice.  I wanted to add up all my extras to have sure I had enough accessory coverage in my insurance so I made a spreadsheet of everything I'd added.  When I hit the "sum" icon and got the total I nearly fell out of my chair.

Nope, Jerry...no lottery, just stupid.

I've got a spreadsheet too, but not everything is on it yet...I'll chit when I enter the recent adds... :nervous: :nervous:  I'm rationalizing it all by saying I'm keeping this bike until I wear it out.  I'm about to give it all a rest though, so no serious money 'till next winter after this whole wheel thing.

Yea....right, they all say.... ;)

I'd have to give that some thought and do a little parts research to see what it all might be worth.  Shoot me a PM if your thinking progresses beyond a fleeting thought.

Stupid, no way!  Everything you've done / are doing makes good sense to me.  All my fun $$ are going into that new Bushtec so guess I'll be down for a while myself.

I just had Hawg Halters calipers installed along with lyndall pads yesterday and I must say "how sweet they are". Seeing how they are local to me I contacted them and made an appointment for yesterday to have there road lok caliper installed on the left front and there regular calipers installed on the rear and right front.

I met with ther sales rep Jeff Lacava and got a tour of the place.I must say it was really impressive. There attention to detail and quality is impeccable. The road lok caliper is a sweet piece of engineering. To me the road lok is a added piece of security knowing that if someone wanted to steal my ride that it would make it more difficult .

Now the good part.I got free installation and if anyone else is interested Jeff is offering a 10% discount and free shipping or if you are local free installation or the above discount.Just contact him at 877-442-5837 tell him who you are and that ( I) Dale referred you to him, and no I am not getting anything out of it.

You can either get Sinter brake pads or Lyndall pads. I opted for the Lyndalls since majority of you all recommended them and besides I don't know a thing about Sinter pads.

Just installed exactly the same calipers this past weekend.  When I ordered wasn't given the option for brake pads though.  Bought my Lyndalls over and above those supplied with the calipers.  Still love the parts though.  And the locking thing is pretty slick.

Twolanerider,  I wasn't given the option either on the brake pads. I asked them if I could get the Lyndalls instead. From what Jeff was telling me the owner of Hawg Halters went to Lyndalls to see if they could work out a deal but Lyndalls wanted to much $$$$ , so they went with sinters but if you ask for Lyndalls you can get them.

WOW! that is a nice piece of engineering. Should make them thare' thieves think twice!

I decided to go a different way. There is a lot of statistical data on motorcycle theft.

I found this data through AAA and National Alliance ON Motorcycle theft. Through the FBI web site there was a little more info about national crime syndicates that steal bikes and ship them overseas. It took me months of compiling statistics to formulate the absolute best way to prevent theft of my motorcycle.

I joined this forum! That is right, just by joining this forum, I am assured of complete 1000% protection against theft.

Who in there right mind is going to steal a standard Ultra Classic when there are 20 CVOs in the same parking lot to pick from!

Sleep tight,
I know I will!

When I placed the order I even asked about the pads that were used and told them I'd be using Lyndalls instead.  They went so far as to tell me what Lyndall part number would be corect.  But never offered the pads.  Bummer.

Oh well, it's all done now........
