Hey John, beauty is in the eye of the beholder as you know by that ugly horn. ;D But you're starting to worry me now. First you switch from the best bike HD ever made, to get a rolling living room. Now I see you want to ship it home, when you're in the South and can have a great ride breaking it in! Good luck with it, but I hope you ride it sometime! ;) Hoist! 8)

No worries mate!! 8)

As for shipping it home, there is no way I have the time to do the break in the right way and get it home in a reasonable amount of time.  I think its about 660 miles, and I just don't have the time away from the office to do it the way it is supposed to be done.  I'll let Bubba get it all set up and drag it home and put the miles on when I can.  It would be a great ride home from KY, but duty calls.

As for the living room on wheels, I rode my buddies Ultra for a few miles yesterday.  Very different ride from my Heritage, but I can see why he can ride faster and longer than I can.  It is  very comfortable on that beast. :)

Still love the SERK too, but I'm sure they will not stop making 'em.  Gives me something to look forward to for perhaps another purchase down the road.!! :xyxthumbs:

Here's another loud horn that No-Rain had on his bike that I heard at MV.

Gary,
Did it fit under the cover?
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Finally ordered this horn and got it installed today (thanks Neal ;)) It will fit under the Air Wing Horn Cover. It is loud now I just have to see how it holds up under use/riding.

They're plenty loud Gary, that's what is in the mini-beast.  You'll certainly be heard.

Kury is about to release a new horn that mounts between the bags and the frame on the rear of the bike...it's two chrome bugle type that points towards the ground when mounted up just rear of the shock from the picture I saw.  Just another option to consider.

Hey d00d, how's that Strebel sound? Is it loud enough? Louder than stock? For $25 bucks a piece, I'll get one for each bike. Hoist! 8)

Much better then stock. The H-D OEM horns are temperamental to say the least. If you don't have them torqued just right in the covers they sound like a lame duck. Ever since I changed the covers on mines I could never get it right again. This horn is (IMHO) much louder then the stock one, and is definitely not as temperamental. I showed it to AJ today when we were at the dealership and he thought it was loud also. For the price I don't think you can beat it.

Yep it does. It took me all of 5 minutes to change it out. Wasn't even worth grabbing a beer to take w/me to do the job. I was disappointed. ;) ;D I didn't use a torque wrench (as the H-D OEM specs say you should when changing covers) when I tightened it back up just some loctite and snugged it up, and it worked fine.
