looking for feedback on Street Cannons for 2018 lhtkse
« on: May 10, 2020, 02:12:13 PM »

I am Looking for slipons or 2018 flhtkse.

I went or my first real ride on the bike yesterday.   stock pipes are very quiet.   I would like to get a little louder and better exhaust tone.  Performance is not a an issue as this 117ci is already everything i could ask for compared to my old 103.

I see that the street cannons are a good option ???..

1) I have heard that the CVO's already have stage 1 tune?   no need for additional flash?

2) Is the CAT in the X pipe?   do the street cannons also have high flow CAT??   or just cans with baffles ?

3) Options for end caps from Harley seem to be limited ... are the harley two piece end caps billet?  or stamped metal?

4) are the people running the street cannons happy with them?

thanks for your feedback

Dave

As far as the number of views with no replies, that's due to search bots that continuously scan the internet for keywords for people doing a search.

I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.

1) No need for a flash if just changing mufflers

2) Cat is in the header, not the muffler unless you buy the $1300 SE exhaust that moves the cat into the mufflers and gives you a clean head pipe.

3) dunno.

4) Can't answer that one either. A lot of people on here like the Fullsac power cores in their mufflers (myself included) but I don't think He ships those to Cali. He's a vendor on here and you can reach out to Him directly.

Thanks for taking the time to reply OBB.    Yeah, California rules suck.  I was thinking I needed to keep the original slip on mufflers in tack for that very reason in case I need to reinstall.    The SE street cannons say they are 50 state legal which implies they won’t put the smile on my face like my old rinehart’s did.  I guess there is only one way to find out.    ;D

Thanks again

I put the Street Cannons on my 2020 Eagle Eye Special when I had the 131 kit installed. They have a nice sound compared to the stock CVO mufflers I've had on my CVOs. I used the Defiance billet end caps on mine. I haven't seen any 2 piece ones to know what they're made of. I'm at the dealership just about every day so I'll see if the have any 2 piece caps I can look at.

I thought I would post a follow up on the street cannons. Exhaust arrive today FedEx and I decided to go ahead and install them. Wow, much better sound than I expected.  I have some concerns about the two-piece chrome tips, I am used to solid billet aluminum, and these do seem to be stamped steel.  They do have some weight to them, but will give them a fair chance. Pipes look great, sound great.  Weather is supposed to be turning, calling for rain over the next couple days, but once I get it on the road I will modify this post again.

Follow up:
I got out for a short ride between rain showers today.   I must say these street cannons are sweet.  Big smile on my face ...  I am so glad I took a chance on them.
