what part # for the chrome saddlebag guard for a FLHRSE3.i was hoping to use the comfort profile with the nostalgic guard rails. fender trim fillers might need some modifying.

TIA

TN, I added P/N 49291-07. I use the accessory Saddlebag Guard Bags, so I didn't want the Comfort Profile style.

These FD guys must have gotten to me! I just spoke with Gene and we're adding the Black Ice Saddlebag Lid Spoilers w/Brake Lights to my Hard Bags. These things should come out sweeeeeeet! ;) Hoist! 8)

Can't wait to see how they finally turn out....
I just packed for a week long trip - these SERK saddlebags gotta go!!
Just put on the Wild 1 10" apes - so far so good - I'll see how I like 'em in the mountains.
Hey Hoist - will any HD bagger hard bag work on the SERK? Or should I be looking for a certain year??? Depending on what you think of yours - I'm going to do it over the winter.
Thanks!

Hey strokhr! How'd the job go on the bars? Does the width bother you? The height's perfect, but sometimes the width is a little annoying. Nothing too bad though, and you get used to them.

Any late model hard bags wiil work. UC, EC, RG, RK. Doen't matter. The bags are the same. I bought used bags from an '03 SERK and had to buy all new hardware for it. But if you find complete sets with hardware, they'll mount right on.

Take care man! Hoist! 8)

So far I like the bars - haven't ridden very far yet tho - got a 600 mile day coming up tomorrow so we'll see. We're going out to Red Lodge to ride the Beartooth Pass - hope they work for me in the mountains. So far the width hasn't been an issue - I'm not sure but they "seem" more narrow than the OEM bars (that I hated mind you). I might need to pull them back another 1/2 inch or so (toward me) - we'll see. It's such a PIA to move 'em - you hafta take 1/2 the bike apart just to move 'em a tish (stupid HD idea).
Gotta do the bags tho - the OEM's are just too small for my type of touring. Thinking about a hitch too - might add a N-Line trailer to the getup. Who knows...
Well - gotta finish packing - let me (us) know when you have your hardbags back - I talked to Gene but I want your opinion on the quality - regardless hard bags are becoming a must for me!

The bags are getting closer. The prep work, including the raised flames on the tops, are completed and everything is primed and ready for paint. He's waiting on the Saddlebag Lid Spoilers in primer to come in. They should be here by now. Then on to final painting and clearcoating! Raised black flames on top, Pewter flamed sides, marbled rears and ghost SE110 logos! I can't wait! I should have them back within 2-3 weeks! Pics to follow! ;) Hoist! 8)

Has anyone found out if that Riser Cover is retrofittable to '07's and if they're available as a part or accessory? What's the P/N? Thanks. Hoist! 8)

Hoist...
Did you ever find out if the 2008 riser cover will work on the 2007? Damn, might hafta trade if it doesn't (lol).
Just got back from my trip - great ride - Beartooth Highway and the Big Horn mountains. Wow - what great country!!
The apes were "ok" - I stopped at Beartooth Harley in Billings, MT and had them pulled back another inch or so. I think I need to come back another inch (should've gone with the 12 inchers).

The OEM bags sucked big time. One of the latches broke and the lid kept flopping up and down - found another use for duck tape. Here is a $30k bike with duck tape holding the saddlebag lid shut (should have seen the looks I got - not funny at the time actually) HA HA HA - Harley should have had their head examined for using these crap bags (apologize to those who like them - but they are virtually useless for touring).

So - it's gonna be hard bags for sure. Keep me (us) informed of your progress. Let me know how the paint comes out and what, if any, problems you wind up having when you go to install them.

I'm going to have Gene paint them red and just have them continue the flow and graphic of the bike. This isn't going to happen this summer - hopefully, they can get done over the winter and be ready for next summer and the big trip to Milwaukee for the 105th.

You know of anyone that has any hard bags laying around that they'd like to sell for a song and a dance????

Thanks bro..

The painter just accidentally called me instead of Howie.  Wanted to know if it was ok if it took an extra few weeks to get them done.  Something about needing a vacation.  I told him to take all the time off he wanted to  :drink: .

Yeah, and a preprogrammed brand new TMAT for a 103 Mucle Kit showed up here today in error. I refused delivery, as I hadn't ordered it. The driver has the same motor, and said he'd just keep it! I told him to enjoy it! It was addressed to a D. Carey in Queens, NY! ::) ;D ;) Hoist! 8)
