No sweat... Trying to sell a van and waited for a guy all day, said he was coming by, he was a "no show". We almost went for a night ride last night till the rains kicked in (north & south). It's better than 'no rain' I guess. I'm a native and the summers are hard sometimes but sure makes up for it in the winters. We've been talking about a weekened trip to Destination Daytona if you're up to it. You have plans for a tour pak?

Nice bags Miker...

I just picked mine up this weekend.

15 color panels and 4 different gold leaf.  I'm not sure what was up with my camera settings but the bags look VERY close to the CVO paint job.  You can get a better idea in the other images.

That looks great Doc...My leafing was pewter...the color is a candy green around three shots, I think...The painter is on vacation, I'll ask when I get back...It is amazing, I saw them from used beat up bags to finished product, it truely is more art form than just a trade.

Those photos look absolutely amazing.  Have you fitted running lights/indicatoers to the bag rear or are they reflectors?

If I remember correctly that is where some hardware for tour pak goes in. :nixweiss: Ghost Rider has the tour pak on his scooter and there are pictures of it somewhere on the site.

Smiler,

The filler panels are from the Street Glide, and on that bike the radio antenna extends through the hole in the left side. It would have been nice if the MoCo had provided a version without holes, but obviously they either didn't think of it or didn't want to spend the money.  Having those two rubber plugs sitting out there for all to see isn't the greatest, but I would guess someone with a little imagination could come up with chrome bits to cover the holes, or maybe some auxiliary tail lights would be a good idea.  Can always use more light in the rear.

As for your last question, since many of us on this site are full of crap, I would guess it's OK to say it.  :confused5:

It's for the rear detachable hardware. You can mount a TP rack/w TP on it or a 2-up luggage rack on it. Either one works, so you can get a TP and a rack if you want, and switch back and forth. Or of course, leave everything off. Those triangular mounts aren't the nicest looking things in the world, but they sure are functional. You can't travel without something back there! ;) Hoist! 8)

Isn't there one that mounts to the passenger backrest mounts so you don't have all that....stuff on there?

There is miker, but its small and I wouldn't put a large 50lb loaded TBag on it. It makes the bike so much more flexible. You get used to those "dentures" back there and appreciate the functionality vs. the look. Hoist! 8)
