While healthy debate is great - and this site is a great place for healthy debate - I have to wonder if you can back up this statement.   Is this an opinion or can you quote a credible source?   Denis Manning is much more then a "pipebender" - he is a motorcycle icon and a real biker - calling him a "pipebender" is pretty harsh.  If you can quote a souce, please do so.  If your statements are opinion - you should say so.
Sorry my comments struck you so personally sadunbar. At no time did I call Denis Manning a pipebender. If you will take a deep breath and re-read my post, I was addressing the "nice guy" scewtr talked to from Rinehart who admitted that "50% of the time they have a fit problem with the brake lever on the 2007 CUSE2." He might well be a "pipebender" and for him as a representative of Rinehart (a pipe bending company) to cast blame for their fitment problems on the MOCO lacks character and creditability. As far as my comments on Rinehart's quality, my sources are a major midwestern H-D dealer who installs hundreds of exhaust systems a year, my personal experience having twice purchased Rinehart and finally this forum. If you take the time to search posts over the past year you'll find many complaints of poor fitment and misaligned mounting tabs on both the pipes and the guards on Rinehart's. IMHO

And now............. back to our regularly scheduled question......................... :)

I did not put the Rineharts on my 07 SE. I chose the Bassani dual header pipes but I did have a fitment issue with the brake pedal. I assume  ;) that this fix will work the same on yours. I did not want to do ANYTHING to mine at first being that it was brand new and all but finally relented to grinding the rear portion of the brake pedal to allow enough clearance for the pipe without any contact. Now I nver even think about it nor do you notice it and it won't rust due to the material its made of, although I painted mine with some chrome paint just to be sure.

Heres a link to the topic when I was having trouble with mine:

I guess the bottom line here is that there have been some issues with fitment with these pipes, why, I suppose we will never really know. As far as replacement due to quality issues throughout the industry I couldn't even guess where rinehart stands next to everyone else. What I do know is that the half dozen or so people that I know, that have personally installed these pipes themselves have not had any issues with the fitting of them on there baggers.

[/quI can't believe anybody would buy into that lame excuse. If some "pipebender" really believes his product has greater consistency and quality than a motorcycle manufacturers jig built frames, he has obviously been sleeping to close to the medicine cabinet. BUB has had issues for years with product consistency and overall quality. Although the Rindhart exhaust is a very nice system (If you like it really loud), the return rate for part replacement due to quality issues is among the highest in the industry. My dealer had to return parts twice to finally get a complete system that would assemble correctly on my last bike.ote]

Hmmm...o.k.  if you say so - Denis is a friend, so I suppose it is possible I misinterpreted your comments....

Guys,
I just got true duals installed on my 07 SEUC and fortunately I had a EZ-Brake in my trunk that I was going to install, becuase it was needed.  My mechanic said he has had a few similar problems with a couple other 07 SEUC... Get an EZ-Brake and you are all set!!! And have an easier rear brake angle and reach..

Does changing pipes alone require another dyno? I have freedoms now, but down the road, when its time for new pipes, I dont like the new freedoms, Ill have to put something else on.

If you were to change to the rineharts i would say probably not, They are very close to what you have now. If you were to go to any other pipe, to have it running at peak, and to be sure your AF is spot on then yes you should do the dyno again.

As it turns out, I am picking mine up tomorrow, and really looking forward to it.

By the way I also received a brand new engine.  Mine apparently lost oil pressure, and cooked the engine.  I was in the middle of a short trip, and did not notice until I heard the nasty NASTY noise.  NO I did not see the idiot light, and I don't know how often I really look at the gages.  I thought I was really conscientious about that kind of stuff, after 40 years of riding...maybe not!  (I will be now!)

MoCO swapped the engine instantly, no questions asked.  I wondered if they know something.  Or maybe Tallahassee HD is just very good.

Did it lose any oil, or just the pressure, Skewt?  Just wondering if you had a fault like mine and the oil fell out on the ground!

Glad to hear you got the engine swap. Tall HD has been very good as far as my bikes are concerned.  I will be in the shop later today - will ask Bob for details.  Spoke to someone in Leesburg last week with an engine noise problem in a 110 also.

Isn't Tallahassee HD shop the one that is managed by BLM777's son?

If so, Brian, you gotta tell your son about the positive, unsolicited feed back he is getting on this forum.

So sorry to hear about loosing your engine, so happy to hear that HD stood right behind you and fixed the problem with no need to wait for a service rep to come by and look at it, no trying to hide the problem under a bushel, just straight forward, no questions asked great customer service.

I just returned from the Tallahassee HD shop with SCEWTR.  Rineharts, SERT and SEAC, all installed.  I already loved this motor, so I guess I am now into "ecstasy".  I can tell that the torque is phenomenal, but since the new motor only has about 600 miles on it I haven't really pushed it.  Dyna test shows 92HP and 115 Torque.  But I am not one for numbers...I just know I love it.

Regarding the motor replacement...

I talked to Bob (service manager) who says the crankshaft halves are press fit, and had shifted, broke the oil pump shaft and "poof" bad news.  MoCo did not hesitate, and sent the new motor by special courier, overnight.  I feel (guess) that this is something they know about, but I can definitely forgive a problem when the response is appropriate.  And that IS what I expect for $35K+.

Oh and one last thing.  I got the Rinehart "quiet" baffles.  Not sure why they are called quiet.  Of course I love the sound and the performance.  But not what I would call quiet.  Maybe they are on the  quieter end of loud.

Ride safe, have fun, stay alert.

Picked up my bike later in the day yesterday, scewtr and spoke to Bob & Garrett about your engine swap.  Moco sent a courier in a van to overnight the motor - delivered in 18 hours.  Correct VIN, the whole 9 yards.  Glad you are pleased with it.  PM me sometime when you are going to be in the area.

Your torque/hp numbers are the same as mine - 117/92 - we have the same basic set up.  I installed the quiet baffles as well and you are right - they still rumble.  The stock baffles were great but small dogs and little kids covered their ears and fell to the ground when I racked the throttle.   ;D  Not really, but they were loud as hell.

Currently they are installing cams in a DynaSE 110 and the results should be VERY interesting.

Mrs.Wecvo - not sure who you are referring to at the shop - the owner's dad passed away several years ago.  No business is perfect but over the past few years I have had good service and/or all issues satisfactorily resolved at this store. Great folks. I wish I could say the same about other places I have dealt with on auto issues.
