First Ride Of The Season
« on: March 23, 2007, 07:47:41 PM »

First ride of the season. 25 minute ride to the Tuner. 49 degrees and dodging  rain drops. Sure was sweeeeet .  I should have it back in a week,  screaming and snorting, ready to rip it up!   8)

Rode yesterday from Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Joplin, Missouri and back on Rt. 43.

Lots of twisties and camel back hills.  A lot of gusty wind on the ride home, though.  But still a sweeeet ride!!

I met Doug Duane at the Cleveland Motorcycle Show in January. His shop is in Hudson called MPH. He builds and sets up alot of Metric Race Motorcycle's. He is a Dynojet approved Power Commander Tuner. He has 20 years experience working in Harley Shops before starting his own. I was a little nervous because he doesn't just work on domestic bikes. I have since been convinced he knows what he is doing. He has been dyno tuning Harley's for the local shops before the the dealerships purchased one. 8)

Wasn't the first ride of the season since our season hardly never ends, but it was a great riding weekend!

We left Saturday morning and headed to the mountains.
Nancy rode the Lowrider and I was on the Frontier.
We rode the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Total ride 474 miles.

Got home at 1:00 today, cleaned up and we hopped on the Classic for a 100 mile ride to meet some friends.

Got home at 5:00 and hopped on the scooters for a 10 mile ride to the Chinese restaurant.

It doesn't get any better than that!

Wasn't planning when we left home to ride north on the parkway but that's the beauty of an unplanned ride.
Direction can change as you ride.
We rode up to Mt Airy to see Floyds Barbershop and the Snappy Dinner.
From ther we rode thru Galax Virginia.
SORRY, we should have called.

A click shy of 600 mile ride(s) on multiple two wheels.  Love to hear stories like this.  This is my idea of riding.  Thanks for sharing.   :2vrolijk_21: :cherry:

 >:( I started this post on March 23  ride to the tuner. It was 49 degree's with rain drops.  picked her up today, 28 degrees with the wind chill at 18 degrees. Snow flurries in the air.  :'( Something is not right here. I thought the world was warming up?  Any way SERK is running sweeeeet  104 HP and 115 torque.  Will post dyno sheets  here when I can figure out how  8). We sure could use some of that Sum Shine here.  :P
