I'm waiting on a Cobalt SERK that was to have been built on 03/21.  The original date had been 03/02, but that date got pushed to the 03/21 date.  The dealer checked with the MOCO yesterday and the build date has been pushed back another week, so the bike should be built next week.  I was just curious about what others have experienced on these post strike delays.

I ordered my CACO SERK last year for a February delivery/March registration. The bike is now scheduled for an April build and May delivery.

At this rate will it be classed as an 08 bike by the time I get it ?

I recall something about CVO's in previous years being built in different periods of time based on the color.  They'd do red bikes for a month, then blue bikes for a month, and then do black for a month.  Didn't they change that procedure?

From what I observed in delivery, you are right on.  The very first SERKs built were the Red, then Blue, then Black in the first build cycle.

That sounds right. The first SERK I saw was red in Faak am See in September last year, then a CACO came into the dealership in November and two BI's appeared about two weeks ago.

Please MR MoCo man - do another CACO run !

My milk dud went that way back in late '05 and there wasn't a strike then.  Seems the moCo relies heavily on the "estimated" part of the dates.

Once it's built then you'll be dealing with ETA, and that one is just as screwed until you know that the truck has left the plant.

Mine is built.  They must be gettin' Blue SERK's out this week.

I don't believe they are built according to color. 3 dealers in my area all got the blue ones back in early september.  mine was ordered in July.  but it never came in till thanksgiving. it's RED.

I checked again today and it still looks like mine is built, but has not been loaded out yet to the dealer.  They talk like they'll have a VIN# after the bike is actually loaded on the truck and on the road.

This is exactly what happened to me. Once the VIN went into the system it meant the bike was out the door and on the truck. Shipping times may vary.

The Cobalt Blue SERK arrived at the dealership yesterday.  I went out and saw it today.  I'll post a photo or two later.

I'm putting D&D Fatcats with the Ghost Pipe on with a K&N filter and SERT.  I'm also going to do the passing lamps and relocating the turn signals (as I recall you did on your bike).  I bought the higher/wider HD windshield, but it's the seven bolt pattern and I want to make sure that I'm not going to be disappointed in this choice.  There will be a few other odds and ends.
