I'm having trouble finding someone around here that can do a  good tune one my engine with the SERT.  I'm pretty sure I could do it myself it would hours upon hours on a dyno. I'm thinking about switching to the PCIII. There is a dealer near me that has the tuning link software for the PCIII and can let the computer do all the thinking for me. So aside from the headache it would end up being cheaper too.

The question is can an ecm that already has the SERT loaded on it take a PCIII. I know the SERT won't work on any other ECM, but does it do anything to the ECM that will prevent a PCIII from communicating with it?

The PCIII works from whatever base parameters are in the ECM, You can add the PCIII without any problems at all. The only thing you need not to do is the rev extend on the PCIII as the RT already most likely has the rev bumed up to 6200 rpm.

I work at the Harley Davidson dealership in Salina and we have two mechanics that are good with the SERT, Mike and Jason.
They've worked wonders with that system.

Flatlander, I may bring it to y'all in the fall. I have an opportunity at work to ride around the country on my employer's dime this year. In order to take advantage of it I need to get the bike tuned real soon. I'm out of town alot and the only chance I have to get it right is this Saturday. A local dealer here in town can put the PC on it and have the computer tune it. Right now I'm mostly concerned with getting the AFR's right so I don't have a meltdown. In the October when I have to start travelling by plane again I'll bring it in and have a proper SERT tune done.

I know it sounds like a waste of money, but at 48.5 cents a mile for doing something I'd do for free (don't tell my boss) I figure it'll pay for itself it about a week.
