Today is the day.  The installer is here with the film kit to do the install on the SEUC.  Looks to have the fairing, hard bags covered and will most likely need to return to do the lowers.

The kit includes the sides of the hard bags as well but I don't know if I'll do them.  Since he has them, I may just do them, they can always be removed.

He was quicker than me and had the upper half of the fairing done when I got down to take pics.  I couldn't tell in the shadow that it was on the bike already.

So, only time will tell, but I am very pleased with the look so far.  It will get a few days in the warmth of the showroom to cure, total curing time is actually up to 30 days to have the ultimate look with all of the liquid used in application finally working it's way out through evaporation.

I am definitely pleased so far.............more to follow in a week or two.

Looks good. Just think if you had taken the bags off and had them on a table for installer he would have had it done even faster.

BTW - I noticed a FXDWG3 over in the corner feeling a little neglected. You need to give it some attention too.

Weather here is getting much better so I am glad to have this on for riding season.  The DWG is neglected, no doubt, not sure if it got any miles last summer.  I have a new battery for it that never got put in last year, we have had it on a maintainer of and on so I'll get some miles on this year.  Oh, just ordered a new tail light for the DWG though.  Still good for the OCD fix even when not riding it.

One of them will most likely live in eastern Washington at the new house so I know they both will log miles in 2007.

On the install, I had offered to have the bags off, he wanted them left on though so he could apply the pressure on the squeegy easily.

He'll be back to do the lowers and a couple of other small areas that he may custom cut.  Not sure whether I should do the headlight and fogs or not, the stuff is thicker on them and would protect against breakage as well as keep you on the road even if the light got a direct hit from a big rock.  I guess I will, it comes off easily enough.

We just had a 2000 Boxster traded and the headlights were covered, the detailers peeled it off as it had taken a beating and the actual lens was like new.

I think I'm sold on the install, just need to see how it dries and looks then.

Look good. Have done that on several cars with low front ends( 911, etc.). Still have mine in box for 06 SEUC. Will wait to hear more on your impression in future if you think make difference. Seems fairing, lowers, and at least front of saddle bags would mininum to cover. Hope it still looks as good in a month, john
