King of The Baggers 2025 season is all HD. Kyle Wyman has won six out of eight  races thus far.

Still six races to go, two per venue. Next up, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course mid August.

I absolutely love watching this race series. Kyle Wyman is a man among boys in my opinion. I went to see these races live at Daytona this year and last year. It's crazy seeing them run at 185 mph. I am admittedly a Harley fan boy, pulling for Kyle. Kyle's grandfather emptied out a chicken coup to open Marv's Harley-Davidson in Macedon NY in 1962. Kyle's mother bought the dealership in the '80's I think and still runs it today. Kyle and his brothers, Travis and Cody all three race.

In the second KOTB race at Ridge Motorsports Park in WA. The Indian Racer Troy Herfoss pulled in my opinion a dick move running into Harley factory racer Bradley Smith to get the win. Looked intentional to me. The back story was that Herfoss and Indian was butt hurt because Harley had blocked out Indian the day before in race #1 taking 1st, 2nd and 3d. Who knows. Indian's Herfoss did not podium at Laguna Seca.

Also Harley factory racer James Rispoli won both Super Houligan races I think at Laguna too.

The press tries to create drama between the teams/riders, if something goes down they would have each others back. I saw the Herfoss/Petersen incident as racing, Herfoss held his line while Smith was off the track wanting back on.  :nixweiss:

I do applaud HD SE race team for what they have done with their program, Kyle Wyman is a huge asset

Marketshare of baggers is what the battle is about and there is still allot of racing this year, anything can happen.

correction:  The incident was between Smith with HD and Herfoss

I know being an HD fan I'm not as objective as  I should be.

The incident was between Herfoss (indian) and Bradley Smith. (Harley)

There are several reasons I take issue with the Herfoss tactics. First contact was made while both racers were still on the track. Smith had run wide all the way to the edge of asphalt right next to the painted apron. To hit Smith Herfoss had to go waaay out of the turn force Smith off the track then continue. Herfoss did this intentionally. And here's the evidence. Herfoss gave an interview that he was all butt hurt because Harley had blocked Indian out of a podium position on Saturdays race as well as he didn't like the way Rispoli and Smith were celebrating their Saturday victory. Herfoss crying sour grapes.

Supposedly Herfoss is some kind of world class racer. Well if that's true (and no I don't think so) he had plenty of room to cut inside of Bradley Smith for the pass in that corner and never touch Smith. Additionally Smith was ahead until that turn.

Unfortunately Smith was completely disqualified from that race entirely later. Supposedly he overrevved his motor (over 7000 rpm) which is a violation of the rules I guess.

I don't know who the governing body is for KOTB races, perhaps Moto America. But it sure does smell fishy. Smith gets disqualified for exceeding 7k rpm and Herfoss is not penalized at all for an obvious intentional Collison.

I have subsequently watched Herfoss in a few post race interviews discussing the issue. He came off extremely arrogant and smug. I'm saying he knew exactly what he did. No I completely disagree that it was "just racing".
