Yeah what IROAR said....they're due another RG and who knows about a Sporty. Just can't see that happening, but stranger marketing ideas have come out of Milwaukee.  :nixweiss:

I am wondering what would happen with the value of the current CVOs (specifically the CUSE2) if they continue to make another year production run of them (for the 3rd year in a row).  Although they are great sellers, don't you think the value of the ones that are already out there will go down the more they continue to make the same model?  These CVO bike are a huge investment, and I'd like to see the value remain high, even if that means limiting production to one, maybe two years at most, and not revisit it again for quite some time.

CVO's are only suppose to run for 2 years for any specific model. There will be no Ultra in 08. They might go back to a EG or a RG. But there will be a big touring bike of some kind. It has been the best seller!

over the last 3 years HD has consistantley broken the rules of what we had come to expect for the CVO lines

1 thing is for sure dont rule out any possibilities

Did we forget? Isn't the reason why the MoCo is in business is to sell more motorcycles? As many as they can?

The fact that I've spent $32k and 6 months building my own 07 SERG assures that the MoCo will offer a SERG for 08.

That's ok though Brian.  No matter HD might put out it'll never be as much your bike as LD is.  You'd be doing a bunch of the same work to an SERG that LD already has.  So while you may or may not be money ahead.  You're at least a year ahead of the pack.

Road Glide/V-Rod Hybrid, Road Rod?

They have to introduce the liquid cooled Baggers somewhere and why not with the untraditional Road Glide? They won't start that trend with the Batwing bikes.

Either way, if 08 is a Road Glide, It's mine. :2vrolijk_21: :orange:

OK, I will throw everyone a curve ball. With the MoCo partnering with Lehman what about a CVO touring trike? That wouldbe right in the $$ for the MoCo at around 45K..

Love the Trike idea but prefer a CVO Ultra/Hack combo.  My other off the wall thought is a CVO Buell

Whatever if it is, we will need a whole bunch of new threads to cover the whining and moaning about paint etc etc....It's what we do!!! :apple: :carrot: :orange: :mango: :bananarock: :'(

That was a topic of concern for the SEEG owners back in 05 when they came out with the SEUC........however, didn't seem to affect the value of the SEEGs as much as we thought they might.

For awhile the CVO line had two models and they ran for two years.  However, the MoCo has shot that all to hell.  We've had a model run for three years and we've had three models of CVO.  I am sure that there will be another bagger CVO.  Some speculate the Street Glide but that'd just be another SEEG with the rear fender extension.  I suspect that they'll go back to the Road Glide model but they'll have to add something significant.......maybe ABS brakes or full size, quick release tour pack and leg fairings.

I agree jcz with the road glide.  It's been a while and they have gone through every bike in the touring family, besides the street glide, which is just a sporty eg.  And yes we will complain and moan as to wtf on the color or paint problems, etc...
