So much for global warming.
« on: April 07, 2007, 10:55:15 AM »

We don't see much snow in Texas, but in April it's pretty much unheard of.

What?  You mean you can't see those LARGE flakes falling ?   ;D

They didn't really show up very good on the camera.  When us Texas boys see snow, we tend to get excited.    ::)

LOL - if it was like that here we'd all be lying around the pool drinking a few brews and having a BBQ.

You guys don't know you're born  ;)

LOL   Around here, this time of year, that would have been a nightmare.   :)

According to the weather guessers, the last time it snowed here in April was 1938.

Talked to my Mom earlier and she said it had snowed - some did not melt so there was much excitement.  She is visiting in the Stephenville area.

Makes me wish I was skiing this week.

Stephenville is a few miles south from here and they got the most snow. We were on the northern edge of it.
At least somebody believes me.   ;D  :)

I was born and raised in Texas, but now reside in the Bug Infested Jungle & Tourist Fleecing State some drunken Spaniards named "Florida."

Used to dove hunt all over the area and quail hunted quite a bit as well.

Quail hunted in the snow in Baird one year.  Weird watching those birds fly up from a pile of snow.

GC - Wonder if some of these fellers would enjoy an old fashioned Texas style snipe hunt?

In the snow, of course.

Hey GC, yes it snowed here in Elkhart/Palestine as well.  Even enough to stick on the grass, trees, and rooftops for a few hours while it fell.  In April... that was very strange.  None of the "old timers" around here can remember it ever snowing this late in east Texas.  West Texas yes, but not East.
