Many riders, wannabees and others spend at least a little time thinking of how to dress when riding their bikes.

For some it comes naturally, they belong to a group that has a jacket, patch, "official" CVO Jacket etc. but for others sometimes minutes or even hours of thought can be wasted gearing up for a ride.

As the weather warms up we begin to see more and more motorcycles on the road.  For those of us that enjoy people watching it is the spring that brings out some great (and unfortunately not so great) targets for our people watching pastime.

Yesterday when the temperatures hit the mid 70's here I personally observed some of these folks out for the day to enjoy the sun, at least one of them should have spent a little more time before venturing out in his gear.

I hope this puts a smile on your face, it sure did mine, I guess I was reflecting on how I see myself when riding sometimes and making sure I don't look stupid, when in the end someone will see me as this guy regardless

Screw it.  My bike is paid for and it's worn out some tires.  If anyone actually cares what I look like while I'm riding my bike they can go suck a corn cob; rectally.

Yeap, it's ok to be amused (or bemused) by the others.  And it's ok if they're amused (or even bemused) by me.  Just so long as they don't annoy me about it  .

I agree and know the feeling. However I bet you wouldn't ride w/warm up pants and sneakers on either?

Well.... I don't own any warm up pants as ugly as that.  Though I have pulled on my ugly old gray sweat pants at 2:00 AM to make that quick run down to the convenience store or the Taco Bell when a demanding case of munchies has attacked.  Y'know what though?  That 2:00 AM Taco Bell crowd or 4:00 AM Waffle House crowd aren't really the judgemental types.  Stoned, wasted, funny, angry, mean, happy, hungry or just out to watch the crowd type of crowd.  All bases are certainly covered.  But not judgemental  .

This reminds me of something I saw the other day. While out riding on one of the nice warm days we had last week I passed a female rider at a stop light that had on a leather jacket and sandals and she was the rider not the passenger. She was on a sport bike so no heel shifter and I thought to myself how that must feel to be going thru the gears while riding. If she rides like this often that is not a foot I would want to see without shoes on it.

LOL!!! No I emphasized those two pieces of garments because they were to the extreme opposite spectrum's of what to wear while riding. Sorry to say she was fully clothed.
