I've been riding bikes since high school.  Dirt bikes, dual sports, sport bikes, other name cruiser types, but purchased my first Harley about 2 weeks ago.  My uncle, life long Harley rider,  said 'now that I have a proper motorcycle, I can ride with him' lol  Anyway, purchased a 2013 CVO Road Glide Custom 110th anniversary edition.  Looking forward to some good road trips!  Once this heat wave passes...   Looks like a good forum with lots of info.

Welcome to the board from Arizona.  I rode the bay area, Sacramento, Auburn and Yosemite before returning to the Tucson area a few days ago.  LIved in NorCal all of my life and never heard of Raymond so I had to google map it to see where it's at.

By the way, it's not hot in California......ride on down to Southern Arizona to find out what heat is all about.   

We you do your first two or three over night trips on that bike.....especially when it's multiple nights on the road is when you'll fully appreciate having a bagger like that.  I also have a 2013 CVO but it's an Ultra Classic that I've rode all over North America.

For service, motor work, anything on that bike......nobody in Nor Cal knows the CVOs like Jim (hd-dude on this forum) at Metal Dragon in Hayward.  I still take my bike to him for service (that's what I was doing in the bay area).

I'm born and raised in central CA so I'm used to the heat but the 10 forecast is 105+ with some days 115...  oh well, that's what air conditioning is for.  But not so much fun riding when it's that hot out lol

I went through Needles once(in a car) and it was 120.  I'll pass on the Arizona heat!

And thanks for the referral.  I'll keep them in mind.

I'm just bummed I don't get to ride my new bike right now!  As soon as it cools off a little I'll be cruising...
