Bluetooth Q,
« on: March 28, 2025, 09:00:45 PM »

Hope someone can help me out here.  I've got a 07 Ultra classic and i want to connect a Bluetooth device up to the radio.

Here's the device,..first photo. My question is, does the radio have the two ports for the red and the whits connectors in the photo

Second photo is the function of the device.

Will this work on the 07 radio.  At the moment I'm using a receiver jack that l put into the Aux in the front of the radio to play off my phone. I looking to hard wire in a Bluetooth behind the fairing.

  Any help is appreciated.

The stock radio can neither blue nor tooth Pete.  Also doesn't have any rear inputs.

You can send it off to an outfit called Iron Cross Audio for some re-work though.  They can make the radio both more robust against some internal damage that some tended to accumulate over time and add what you're needing for extra connections.  Depending on what options you choose you'll spend $$ to $$$$; or, with the new tariffs we are imposing on all things, ££££££.

Alternatively, but perhaps no longer possible after the UK follows Canada and tells the US to take the piss, there is also Something Entirely Different to completely replace the existing radio with something that is, well...., not the piss.  At the link below is a total replacement that is both monumentally modern (compared to Harley [though not the world]) and does all you're looking to do including having both blue AND tooth in the radio.

https://volunteeraudio.com/product/soundstream-hdhu-9813sg-plug-play-upgrade-headunit-for-1998-2013-harley-davidson-street-glide-electra-glide-ultra-only

Currently $600 here in the United States Federal Republic of Isolationia but no doubt £3,200,464 after tariffs are applied.

Thanks for the input Don (no pun intended)

I did see that Volunteeraudio unit, unfortunately l can't justify the cost of going that route.

I've since done some digging,  I found on YouTube showing step by step on how to hard wire a Bluetooth device internally into the 07 HD radio aux.

I think I'll manage doing that conversion.

There's nothing l can find that will replace the radio on this side of the pond.

Our bikes are old Pete (hell, so are we...).  Less options and little in the way of new options coming out.  So options like you found for DYI are priceless.  Good luck getting it sorted!
