2022 security
« on: July 25, 2025, 08:24:55 PM »

Got a friend headed this way to ride and he must not have understood about the security system...never seen him riding anything but old iron...47 Knuck last time.........he loaded it on the trailer and the alarm went off and he didn't know how to reset. kinda figured it'd be similar to my 16 Road Glide...He says his fob has a button...which mine does not....but sounds like it's on the trailer with a dead battery...anything special about charging it..?.other than not using too big a charger ? anyone got a link to the instruction book...possibly here but not sure where to start....he's hollering...HELP !... :smiled:   my instructions say to disarm.. to turn on the ignition with the fob nearby...back to normal....

He drained his battery because the alarm was going off continuously, might need a new battery. Next time,  to put his cvo in transport mode, cycle the run button off on off and quickly push both turn signal buttons simultaneously. The flashers will blink 3 times and the odometer window will say transport.
The instructions for non cvo bikes are a little different since they have an ignition knob as well as a run button.

thank you sir.......I gave him the procedure for my 16 FLTRU and that got his transport mode on again so he would travel with it charging on the trailer....I have not heard from him yet this morning.....
