I have followed the Indian story for decades since its such an historic motorcycle brand. There were really 2 eras where this brand was on a solid footing 1901 to 1953 when the original ownership closed shop and 2011 to 2025 where Polaris rejuvenated the name and put its engineering expertise behind it. Outside of that, it was passed around atleast a dozen times by various people trying to make a go of it including a private equity firm back in 2006.
I dont have high hopes for the Indian brand moving forward.

"a private equity firm."

That usually means the beginning of the end.  They will milk every dime out of it and then declare bankruptcy.

I have several friends who have Indians.  They really like them.  It seems to be a good product, I have rode them and like them.

I fear this is not a good thing for Indian.  If it's not good for Indian, it will be bad for the owners.

The motorcycle market is not in a good spot right now.  This market will be difficult for all brands to weather.

The comments above that this is not good for Indian seem correct because it has been a good thing for Polaris . It's stock is up 9%.

Carolwood has chosen Mike Kennedy as CEO of the new organization once the sale is finalized. Kennedy’s previous role was CEO of RumbleOn, the largest dealer network in the US. Before that he was CEO of Vance & Hines. Prior to those roles, Kennedy was the Vice President and Managing Director of Americas at Harley-Davidson, where he spent 26 years.

Anybody know the history of this guy with H-D?
