Damage to new style Crash bar From highway peg clamp
« on: November 03, 2025, 09:59:49 AM »

OK, I admit this is kind of a strange question. 2025 Street Glide CVO.
I wanted to add highway pegs to the new Crash bar. Because of the redesign, I wasn’t sure what to buy so I took the ones off my 18 crash bar and put them on the new Crash bar.

It seemed like there was not enough straight for the clamp to have a firm seat. Small gaps on the top and bottom around the clamp due to a slight curvature of the Crash bar. But they did work and were comfortable.
Fast forward I just installed the Crash bar required to add lowers (they look awesome)
Removed the highway pegs from the old Crash bar only to find severe damage to the Crash bar because of the misfit.

I am reluctant to install these adjustable highway pegs back on the new bar.
Has anyone else noticed this problem? Harley Parts says there are not new adjustable highway pegs for the new Crash bars.  Is it me? Or is the bar slightly oversized and not enough straight area to use the standard Crash bar highway pegs?

Any suggestions any aftermarket pegs that would be a better fit?

I will attach a photo of the damage, but it may be difficult to see

The harley website lists highway peg mounts as compatible with the 25 Streetglide Ultra so you should be ok with the crash bar for the lowers.

I went  harleydavidson.com as suggested.
Found newly released products searching by model, found a complete lineup of highway pegs that are compatible with 24-26 crash bars.

Let this be a warning to everyone, do not attempt to put older style highway pegs on the new style crash bars. You will regret it.  >:(

Kojak, once again you have demonstrated your intellectual superiority  :drink: :drink: thanks for pointing me in the right direction, again.  I’m gonna stop posting to All and put you on speed dial
I wish the dealer parts counter was as smart as you are.  They know nothing of these new parts.

My Harley dealer seems to have a high turnover at the parts counter, my method is to figure out what I need and research it before I ever go talk to them. Then I ask to verify what’s on their screen before they place the order. They do have a good return policy, so there’s that.
