Question about wireless connection on my 24 rg
« on: November 22, 2025, 04:33:47 PM »

I have tried several times to blue tooth my iphone to the audio system.    It pairs up without any problem.   But as I ride it car play constantly goes out and then will start playing again. When I delete my iphone and plug it in wired, it works fine and stays on. My question is am I doing something wrong or missing something?   For what we pay for these bikes, this stuff should work properly.  I also have volunteer audio hertz Amp.  Thats a whole lot better than the stock amp.   But I was having issues then too. I'd love to hear a suggestion.    Stuart

CarPlay acts up randomly on  mine.  Some times it will not load it at all, and bike has to be shut off wait a couple minutes and try again.

Figured out it loads everything best if the phone is not physically connected.  Once everything is up and running I connect it physically.  It stays on bluetooth It usually plays fine with no cut out.  On occasion if it does cut out I switch to wired connection.  I seem to have more problems with wired though.

I have all the latest software updates.  I'm told another update is coming soon.  I'm not really counting on it any time soon.

I find that it stays on better when I don't pair it to the bike.   I just plug it in and car play comes on and stays on...  I'll pair it up again and try it plugged in.  See how that works. If no good I'll just unpair it again.  Thank you again for the replies.

One of the things Harley’s support  told me is that do not pair your headset with your phone.

I know that we need to pair the headset to the phone to adj some setting and pair to other headsets but once configured delete the bluetooth pairing in your phone.

So pair your phone to the bike
pair your headset to the bike

That's exactly what I do.  I use a headset "fooler" paired to the bike.  It's called maedhawk.  Works really good.  That stays on.  I'm not paring the phone to the bike any longer.  Works perfectly and stays on as it should when wired in. I'm just gonna do it that way.
