Cam upgrade to a 2006 Dyna
« on: Yesterday at 03:24:04 PM »

Picked up a set of CVO 255 cams and I’m going to put them in my 06 SuperGlide. This is the one year they are a bolt in cam for an 88 inch motor which I’m sure most of yall know. My reasoning is I like the way my 13 CVO Ultra pulls and revs out. So, I’m assuming the lighter 06 super glide would be a fun ride. I get plenty of enjoyment out of shifting at 4500-5000 max most times anyway so I’m not concerned with the ideas of the cam running out of breath. I’m hoping to increase the arm pull effect and maybe making the front end feel a little more light 😂. Has anyone here ever done 255s in the 88?

Haven't done the 255's but I just put a set of Andrews TW26 Gear Drive cams in my 2002 FXDX and the performance increase is impressive.  Screamin Eagle air cleaner and slip-ons.  Had to do some minor rejetting (carb) and now the bike runs strong.  Any cam upgrade should be well worth it.
