My 16 was stolen and I replaced it with a 15. I still have both fobs for the 16. Can I have the dealer program the 16 fobs to the 15? I tried searching but had no luck.

Your dealer should be able to. It’s has to be reprogrammed to the new bike’s security system.

Never know until you ask the dealer but the parts list for each year would suggest questions.  Just looked and 15 has the old style fob that dates from 2007 while 16 is the new style that combines fob and key.  That it might be just a physical difference rather than some disqualifying electronic difference, however, is that the antenna and BCM are the same between the two years.

So the answer is no. I went in to the dealer yesterday and they tried no it couldn't be done.

Actually slightly surprised.  With the same BCM and antenna on both bikes had at least half expected it to work...

 in 15 they had two fobs , 1 for the locks and 1 for the ignition ... in 16 they combined them to 1 fob for both that probly has somn to do with it

15 cvo only has 1 fob. It is the same fob as the rest of the bikes with the seperate key.

in 16 they incorporated the remote locks into the fob with the switch blade style key, and if memory serves me correctly, 15 that was not case ... my 16 came with two fobs also

My 16 cvo streetglide did not have remote locks. I haven't seen any with them around here. Also per this thread in the forum this person added them because it dome with them

My 2015 CVO Limited had 4 fobs. 2 were for the security system and 2 were for the keyed locks.
