I won't get the bike back until next week. They have my whole primary apart right now fixing the broken starter/clutch hub. Hoist! 8)

Well maybe now I'll get to ride it some and find out. It's been winter again here for the last week. Now it's in the shop. The weather should break by next week. Hopefully, I'll get it back for the York trip. These electronic speedo's have been a problem since the mid '90's, so I'm not surprised. The weak ring gear supposedly took the pinion gear out. Since the starter's one piece now, the whole thing gets replaced, not just the jackshaft. They blame it on bad heat treatment of the ring gear. The new clutch hub should solve that. Jury's still out on whether it's a Mon bike or a Wed bike! ;) Hoist! 8)

Could you just unplug the pc and take the bike to another dealer not far and have it replaced there under the warranty if things go sour? :drink:

Hoist, your problem is not your PC. It has been discovered that there is a problem with the odemetor units in the later SERKs. The CVO guys in York know about it and are trying to get it fixed. New ones will be coming out soon.

Thanks for that info KD. I'll be at the CVO Assembly Tour next Fri. I wonder if they'll tell me that then, or give me a runaround about it. I might as well wait til they resolve this, since they'd only replace it with another bad one. Will you know when they do resolve this? Please let me know. Thanks again. :2vrolijk_21: Hoist! 8)
