Hey Mike, I'm dropping them off this week. What is your painter doing to match the paint/leafing/marble? Did he find the factory stuff or is he recreating it? I'd really like to match the paint scheme, but my painter didn't think it would match properly without using the original HD materials made  for this bike. I'd love to know what your guy is doing. Have him check the House of Kolor...HD don't do diddley for paint it is outsourced.  HoK has "pearls" that go into the paint at $100 an ounce, they also have the marbilizer stuff.  The camelon green for the missus dyna ran 1K /qt.  Thanks goodness I only needed an ounce at $164 to fix the scratch "I" put in it.  It is rumeored that the is where the company gets its paint.

My guy is a chopper custombike dude so he is confident he can match...I sure he will for the money he gets< rats hole winners n all.  He is doing the bags and a fairing for a convertible glide look.

Thanks Mike, I'll mention this to my painter, but at those prices it looks like I'll be doing a complimentary paint scheme, like my guy suggested. I'll let you know what we decide to do. Hoist! 8)

So I have SERT V@H slip ons and a\c with 84 map, the dealer says I should do their upgrade flash also??? I also asked if the flash changed AFR, he said what's that? This was the warranty manager. :nervous:

Unless there is something I don't understand about the upgrade flash, wouldn't that overwrite (wipe out) your # 84 map that is currently loaded?  Then you'd be back to (upgraded) stock map.

Hoist is absolutely correct.  If you've SERT'd your ECM, you don't need the flash upgrade, and if you'd dyno'd the bike with the SERT, you definitely don't want the flash upgrade.

Thanks for the advice, want to get some more miles on her before the dyno. Also I wasn't experiencing the excessive heat some of you have even before the sert was added. temps have been about the same as my old 00 road king so far but haven't rode over 70 degree temps yet. It does need dialed in as it wants to pop a little now under decelleration but I can control that by not lettin go of the throttle all the way. I can say it seems real strong above 3000 rpms. I am now watching the rear head for oil now. Wondering now if I should change the head gaskets before Nelson.

Other than the Neutral Light Indicator going on/off in various gears my bike has been trouble free.  I had to share this as I now have 2007 miles on the bike.
