In my opinion, the wobble mystery has always been complicated by the occassional problem within the Electra Glide series and not, to my knowledge in the Road Glide.  Difference?  Fairing, lowers and slightly different weight distribution.  Go figure.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, Whoever,
It's all about the air.  If it was something HD did, 'splain why it doesn't happen everytime I ride, and why is it less sometimes, more sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't do it at all!  So, if I am to accept all the previous posts as fact about the "Wobble" situation, then Ol' Maudie mysteriously fixes the problem for a while, and then what?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Gets mad at me for runnin' her too hard, and causes the "Wobble" to surface again?  [smiley=confused5.gif] It's all in the current areodynamics, Ladies and Gentlemen.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.  There endeth the lesson.  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] Later--HUBBARD

Unless I missed it in this thread along the way, I haven't see this wobbling wierdness
amongst mentioned on the SERK's or SERG's ? Perhaps it just hasn't been posted or maybe there is something wrong that is model specific ? I did the True-Track install on mine, just in case, but never really noticed the wobbling and didn't want to. Did on a FLTRSEI but that I think was just some way overcorrecting on my part. I recall there was a lawsuit long time ago by a deceased motor-officer's family who was saying the accident was caused by hi-speed wobbling on police RK, but forget how it ended up. Any SERK's or SERG's drivers experience this unwelcomed wobble phenomenon on a regular basis?

seems to me its like a bump steer. mine always starts with a dip or bump in the road and only on sweepers. then its up-down wobble wobble. i think its more the geometry of the bike design than wind or shocks. i might try to run the shocks real stiff to eliminate that first bounce. it cant be real safe and sooner or later one of us is going to eat it-VG

Well Van, that's about the most concise, and accurate description of the kind of wobble that I've had on the SEEG that's been posted to date.  I agree that it's dangerous and just what we don't need on these rapid machines.  [smiley=nervous.gif]  spyder

Hey Van, You hit the nail on the head about the dip or bump in those sweepers. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Thats exactly what seems to set the SEEG off. I've been on the same roads & curves on a 02 SERK and have had no problem with the wobble the bike is solid. The only time I experience this freaked out wobble is on the EG. I plan on installing the ride str8 & going with metzler tires As posted earlier someone said it seemed to help. Also thinking about going to 18" wheels. Maybe with 18s it will also help because of a larger wheel it takes a lower profile tire. And with a lower profile tire you would think there would be less flex in the side wall of the tire which could also cut down on the wobble issue. Just a thought but at this point anything to get rid of that wobble would be worth doing. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I have never experienced this high speed "wobble" in a top end run. But I have encountered it a few times in some sweepers at times. The cure I have found for this sometimes problematic "Head Shake" in higher mph sweeping corners is to STAY ON THE GAS and TRAIL BRAKE it through the corner. This seems to settle the chasis and eliminate the "head shake" or "wobble" whatever you prefer to call it. But do this LIGHTLY! And at your own risk.

Thanks Grover, Ill give that a try. What's a little extra wear tear on those backs brakes. If it keeps paint job off the asphalt  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I had removed my lowers this past summer and this seemed to lessen the wobble.  With the lower on, I really seemed notice it more.

I took the bike into the dealer with the wobble complaint and they found a broken motor mount.  Great improvement in the ride this last weekend with no noticeable wobble but will need to put a few more miles on it to be sure if it is cured.
