went for a short (310) mile ride yesterday with a passenger and averaged 41-42 MPG on for the day [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

the differenc betwee 35-36 & 41-42 is the diference between agressive riding during the commute from home-work-home and being a bit less heavy handed on a lesiurely sundy ride. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

In town,  I get around 40... on the highway,  I'm down to 32-33... maybe my 250lb. frame is hard on the engine??  [smiley=shocked3.gif]

I can't imagine why the difference.....but the BEST I get when out cruising on the highway, at 70-75 is 37 mpg.......if I am running through the country and the speed is down in the 60 mph range it jumps up to 39-40.......but around town and back and forth to work its gets down to 33....but then again I am somewhat of an aggressive rider.....after all....we did purchase performance machines. :{D

I'm getting 35-38 intown got to twist the right wrist to much,  and 42-45 on a highway trip not quite as good if they make me lead.  Think the freeway mileage is better because I use the cruise.

Your 40+ is better than me Magoo.  I was doing just under 40 before adding the Power Commander and having the dyno guy dial it in.

The dyno work smoothed out the engine and took a few noticable dips out of a couple of RPM ranges.  Even better is that it gained 8 hp and 6 ft pds of torque.  But the mileage went down from somewhere above 39.5 to somewhere just over 37.  That's highway mileage with the cruise on set about 72-73 miles an hour.  Got no idea what it does off the highway.  I just feed it gas when it asks for it.

32 Highway +/- 1.  Mostly 2up, 2500-3500rpm, multi-tank rides.

About the same in town, 1up, mostly short hauls.

Much worse than before race tuner. Going to re-dyno with a sniffer up each pipe of my thunder header.

Best i did was 40, being very nice to the throttle ... worse.. about 29 beating the $hit out of it.  haha.. My normal riding .. Low gas lite comes at at about 140-150 miles and comes out about 34.  Tire mileage is directly proportional to gas mileage i think.. only 5500 miles on my last tire.  This one looks like it might make 6000.   But the 95 kit with andrews 37b's go in next week so mileage will probalby be about 10.5 for a while hehehe
