Once the above is done then the POI Loader should be able to retrieve them and load them into your Zumo. Hope this helps.

HD makes a bracket for inside the fairing that holds the XM on the HK radios...it would probably work for this one too.  Attaches on the left fairing bracket bolt.  If you can't find the part number, I'll get it for you...
For those that were interested in using this bracket for the GXM-30 hockey puck you might be out of luck. :( I saw this on the Zumo forum today...

Just wondering if any of you have been successful mounting your "hockey puck" underneath the fairing of an Ultra.  I purchased the XM mount from HD, and tried the puck there, but it is too big and sticks out too far and the fairing hits it.

Since this picture was taken, I have changed the amp position (red device), as it was sticking out too far as well for the fairing to fit properly.

Has anyone just mounted it on top of the HK radio?  I have an amp sitting on top of it, and may have to see if it will fit there.  I just want to make sure that it is able to get a clear signal wherever I end up putting it.

Before you go through the trouble of gluing - taping or wire tying it down I would see if you have the clearance withthe fairing.
You can set it off level a bit and it will still work.

If you don't secure at least the wire you may fine it moving around  from hitting bumps.

The cost to download tracks is $0.99 per track. The cost to download an album is $6.95 and above. The standard price of an album is $9.95.

What can you do with the tracks after you download?

Something I found out with Apple's iTunes store is that the songs you buy are in the apple format (AAC), requiring you to jump through hoops to make it usable on other then an iPod.

And it is restricted to one computer. I had songs on my PC, sync'd them to mine and my wife's iPod and when copied her iPod to her laptop (another pain in the ass) the songs were not usable anymore on either her laptop or iPod.

Spydy...you might not have as much trouble as I did with the reception...there seems to be no real rhyme or reason to it, and with the larger Garmin XM puck, perhaps it's stronger?  Only way to know is to try it and see if it's acceptable to you.  As far as not missing what you've never had...never had a GPS before either, but still knew I needed/wanted one.  XM is just so nice, it almost eliminates the need for any other source of music on board the bike.  I still have an MP3 CD in the radio, and the MP3's on the Garmin, but the XM just offers up so many different things, and some tunes you haven't heard in a long time, but you'd never think of buying them.

I have found through trial and error, the antenna works the same either on top of the GPS (like mine), in the down fairings or under the bat wing. In my truck the antenna sits in the console, sideways.

The XM still receives fine with the bike in the garage and the door closed, and my door is a aluminum skinned 2" insulated door.
Remember, GPS has 26 satellites (24 operational, 2 spares) and XM has only 1 or 2. So there are areas where you will have no coverage, even on the top of a mountain is possible to have minimal coverage.

XM still has too many "XM" commercials for my taste, but it beats the poor reception of the factory radio.
I also use my iPod on the bike, about 50/50 between XM- iPod.

Don't buy the XM for your Zumo and you'll never miss it

While I have the fairing off, where can I install it under the fairing?

I have a HW amp that will sit on top of the radio?  :nixweiss: Also, any suggestions on what to do with the wire when not plugged in to the unit?  This antenna will not be used for anything else other than on my bike.

Just see it the fairings fits OK before you tie everything up.

Wires - with the ZUMO, you will leave the wire connected. With mine I have to remove the power, speaker and XM cables from the GPS when I remove the unit from the bike. What I do when th GPS is not on the bike is just push all the wires in the slot where the handle bars come out of the fairing, leaving just the connectors hanging out.

With my iPod on the opposite side I take the iPod connector, stick it back in the fairing and leave a loop hanging out.
