I think I got step one done. I saved a route as a GPX file. I then copied the file to F\Garmin (Drive letter F on my PC) . Zumo's  not finding it. Should it be copied to "F\Garmin\GPX?

For those of you using the Zumo in multiple vehicles, as well as on the bike...I'm not sure if it says this in the manual...I don't remember it if it does.

The gas guage setting where you get reminded at your preset gas mileage to fill up...it only counts miles while on the motorcycle mount.  It actually knows which mount it's on, and
only counts those miles.  I was shocked, but of course, it makes perfect sense.

I was pleased to discover this.
Some great stuff here BUT - Very technical!!! :confused5:

Just in case somebody should read this before seeing my next post.

Do NOT load this at this time there is a bug in the update and Garmin is working on a fix.

Update for POI Loader Version 2.5.1 (click here)

Changes made from version 2.4.2 to 2.5.1:

Added the capability to save gpi files to a user's directory.

Note: Watch for the default directory it tries to load this new version to (C:/Program Files/Garmin) my original and all previous updates have been C:/Garmin so I hit the browse button and put the new version in existing directory. Not sure if it will create in conflicts, but didn't want to take the chance of two versions still loaded on computer.

Ok, new update out - POI Loader Version 2.5.2

Changes made from version 2.5.1 to 2.5.2:

* Fixed an issue with loading BMP files.
* Fixed an issue with saving GPI files to SD cards.

Pay attention to the "note:" above in red.

I have loaded this on mine and used it to load some POI's so the fix w/the *bmp's (bug in Version 2.5.1) has been resolved. :2vrolijk_21:

If surely appears that Garmin puts out quite a bit of 'buggy' updates.  :-\  spyder

I recently had my GPS repaired and when reloading the maps ran into trouble installing Mapquest. After some time with tech support we found that the program was loading into a different directory. The tech guy said that the Garmin stuff must be placed in the C:/Garmin directory.

That's the way of software add a new feature and mess something up in the mean time. :-\ This new update only corrected the mess up in the previous (2.5.1) w/the *.bmp files the other feature (added the capability to save gpi files to a user's directory) was added with version 2.5.1.

All the previous updates I have done always loaded to that directory (reason I loaded the update there). I guess that's another problem/bug that's going to come back and bite them. :nixweiss:

Quick question, I finally connected the Zumo to my bike and am able to get mp3's to play through the aux port on the radio unit and I can even hear beeps when I go through the different menus on the Zumo, any way to get the voice thru the aux port or do I have to use bluetooth?

If I have to use bluetooth, do I have to go thru my cell phone or can the bluetooth on the Zumo go directly to a bluetooth headset?

Thanks!!

What voice are you talking about? Navigation prompts, or phone calls?
