Mystery solved. It sure is a cigarette lighter. This was something I didn't expect. First bike I have owned with a cigarette lighter. ;D
Goin,

I did the same thing with my first Ultra.  It was a mystery button to me too.  I felt dumb.  I just wanted to post this so you wouldn't feel lonely.  We could be dumb and dumber.

I have use it to charge me cell phone while on the rode.  I guess you could use it to plug in one of those small portable TVs (for your passenger).

Goin, this just cracks me up!

On my very first ride, I stopped at a restaurant with the owners manual to try and figure what it was. I thought it was a release for the fairing! I pushed it in not knowing. When it popped out I was "Oh Chit!" I broke something on this $XXX motorcycle!

Needless to say Sassy & my buddy laughed their butts off at my expense!

The mystery button has many additional uses beyond the ones mentioned so far.  In the rear seat of many automobiles you will find odd little patterns of circles.

You may one day find this in the leather of the saddle on your bike.  First place to look is for small children that have discovered "branding", not with a branding iron, but with the chrome button.

Also, I believe it could be used as many Korean therapists use the lit end of a cigar.  Running it close to but not touching the skin of their client to relieve pain and tension.

Not that I would ever indulge, but for those of you that do, the mystery button can make everything rosey.  Or Cameron or Drew!

My riding buddies that have stripped down sporters and WideGlides are always asking me to carry their stuff for them. Hmmmm.

If you reverse the red and black wires on the mystery button, it will act as a 'passenger ejection seat feature'. i.e. perfect for those wives that like to nag about how fast everyone is going on the way to fort bragg.

The salesman lit a cigarette with the mystery button on the Ultra while we were discussing the harmon kardon radio with 147 features some of which are also mysteries.

I wonder - if I installed another mystery button would my bike be more or less mysterious?
