Scheduled Pipes, PC, SEAC for Friday
« on: November 30, 2004, 06:03:34 PM »

Just got off the phone with my dealer...

Friday they'll install my V&H 2into1's, SEAC, and PC on my '05 SEEG.

Can't wait....

They'll spend most of the afternoon on the dyno with it...we'll use the PC baseline for an '04 103 (m807-127), then dial it in from there. PC states they don't have the map for the '05 SEEG just yet. Perhaps if mine gets good power, we'll submit that map to PC for futher use.

I think we'll do a before and after dyno. That's gonna be intersting to have.

Should be ready to post results Friday night or Saturday..

Yippy....

Phattey...are you using a HD Race Tuner or Power Commander for you dyno work.  By the way, where  is Jax, Beach?  Good luck with the setup, we're all interested in the outcome.

With the exact same mods (except I have Race Tuner) I came away with 100.3 HP and 104.6 lb. ft. of torque.

JCZ...Those are great numbers...

I hope I can get close to those numbers. If not and the techs determine the Race Tuner is a better choice after its all said and donw, I'll sell the PC and get one.

My conditions will be basically about 20 feet above sea level with temps in the mid 70's.

Keepin my fingers crossed now...

The only bad thing I've found with the power commander is you can't change the rev limiter like you can with the race tuner.

Well that's reason enough, right there. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  The highest power in torque is in the upper rpm range.  JMHO.

No question about being able to reset the rev limiter....these 103's are just starting to run right at the upper limit from the factory.

Yes, but the solution to that is to have the Stage I chip burned beforehand.  That way the rev limit is raised and the bike has a better base line to run from should the accessory Power Commander ever crap out someplace and you have to unplug to get yourself home.

I love that you guys are messin with the motors... NOW THAT"S FUN...but I disagree on the rev limiters.

Look at anybody's dyno sheet!

By 5800 RPM, the torque curve is in freefall AND Horsepower has leveled off!!!

You need to shift to get back into the power band.

I think riding the bike this way is UNCOMFORTABLE because no sooner do you shift than you have shift again. The higher rev limit gives a little more reaction time.

JC...I don't understand your comment about the torque.

Stroker motors aren't meant to rev...

For me...I need the most power in the 3000 to 5500 rpm range when I'm trying to pass someone in a higher gear.

Torque plus higher gear equals... [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif]

That's an expensive option
PC $300 + STAGE I $150 = $450

race tuner = $367 delivered to my door

I got 101 hp 103 fpt from race tuner and i think were at sea level

It wasn't quite that bad.
