If Birmingham, Alabama is on anyone's route, there is a basement for the bike, always a cold beverage in the fridge, a double bed, two humans, and two sweet animals to greet you.

And one cranky damn bird that don't like strangers!

He's picky about who he lets in "his" room, and will bite the piss out of someone if they stick their finger in there with him.  He hates hats of any kind, and women's painted fingernails.  I'm about the only one that can handle him...next time you're down, I'll get him out and put him on your shoulder and let him "nibble" on your ear... ;D ;D

So, if you stay in my house, you'll have the bird too...and he talks.

Damn straight.  I walked in there that morning early before anyone else had stirred.  Bird had been chatting a bit so thought I'd say hello.

Dipchit (that's what I ended up calling him) gave me The Eye as soon as I walked in the room; his room.  Not hearing the Hitchcock theme music slowly starting in my head in time I happily walked over to the cage and said hi.  Put my finger toward the cage.  Satan Spawn had been laying in wait for me.  Went after that finger like Chip after a big motor!  That's when I named him Dipchit (the bird, not Chip!)!

If you come across the UP of Michigan and down into Ohio I have a place for ya for a night in the center of the state. 2 1/2 car garage has never seen a car - it only allows bikes inside, a few extra beds, no kids, but one big ole dog. The largest Casino outside Vegas and AC is  a mile down the road.

BB,
Woodbridge, VA (about 30 miles south of DC) right off I-95.  Garage, plenty of room.  Happy to accomodate any of our CVO riders/friends.
Also have an enclosed trailer if you're in the area and need a tow.

The reason I started this thread was for site members to post " hey I'm in xxxxxxxx state in xxxxxx city , I'll meet you for lunch as you pass through "  or whatever.  I thought it might be a way for folks who don't make the rally or do cross country rides to meet some of the folks on the site. I didn't start the thread to discuss the route.

sheesh and you guys say I get off topic

Well Dave and I live in Palm Harbor Florida and we would love to meet up with Hoist! And join the others in our area for a ride.

Sounds good to me.  You go to Daytona for Biketoberfest?

A group from Tallywacky may be in St. Augustine around Labor Day also.
