Moco has an organizer for the leather packs- it attaches to the sides of the pack, wrapping around the inside.  See: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448768147&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302286957&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302286957&bmUID=1178595274891&bmLocale=en_US

This fits a little better than the lid organizer, because the lid on the leather pak isn't flat.  It's got that raised center section.  But the wall organizer seems to me to take up lots of space.  My better half just cut the back pockets out of an old pair of jeans and sewed some velcro onto the backside of them.  They will stick/stay put in the corners that aren't good for much else.  So far, I've got 2 coozies and several sets of ear plugs, a couple of keys, some sun screen and put my cellphone there when I ride.  The only thing I really miss is a good place for more dorags and extra sunglasses.  I'm working on saddlebag lid organizers to take care of this.

I've ridden with the moco headset and now have the j&m (pre-installed, so I can't speak about the self installed version yet.)  The j&m is slightly better, but only slightly.  It stops adding volume about 3/4 of the way up the scale, where the moco would add volume some, but also distort more.  The j&m does have a tiny bit better bass, but only a little.  The best thing about it is the lack of a microphone to move as you put on/take off the helmet (with the "factory installed" j&m unit).  I don't know if the self installed headset/microphone is small enough to accomplish this also.  I've used the moco handheld mike for about 6 years now- the same unit all 6 years.  Never had a problem with it and only rarely do I get somebody asking me to repeat something.  I've never run into anybody who has the j&m mike, so I don't know if it's any better.  It is $30 cheaper!

Cobalt, are you using Bluetooth? I ask because I don't always wear a helmet here in SC. With the handheld mic I can use the phone. I have not bought one but have tried it out and it works.

I bought the J&M fullface Nolan helmet and like it.

I also was wondering about the TP organizer & whether it would work on the leather pack.

I can chime in here about the J&M in both the Nolan n-com and the Arai Profile. Both headsets were installed by J&M techs.

Audio performance: J&M wins over the HD units. We have two HD units in 3/4 shells that have been used since 2001. I think there was a change with the new radio, but not sure. The HD units have always been 'tinny' sounding and the J&M sound better, more like music.

Intercom performance: Not impressed with the J&M. Maybe it's just the microphones, but at speed, I can't understand my wife (Nolan N102). Maybe it is microphone placement, or other configuration issue, but it is useless right now. Not what I wanted after spending about $1,300 for two helmets and headsets ($530 Nolan, $750 Profile). To me, the mikes don't have enough output, so the volume is too low, even with intercom volume at 100%. Pinkie can hear me, but I can't hear her. She says she can hear me (I'm in the Arai), but I can't understand her. It may be the Rineharts overpowering the mics, but whatever the reasaon I'm not a happy camper with the current intercom performance. Also, with the VOX set one bar down from the most sensitive setting, the mikes don't open soon enough, so we're forced to use the PTT switches. Have VOX, but have to use PTT to communicate.

We rode many, many miles with the HD units in the 3/4 helmets, and even though the speaker performance wasn't great, the intercom worked really well. So far, the intercom performance of the J&M is a disappointment. It is my feeling that the J&M microphones are generic, and not a good match for the H&K radios. They don't have enough output for the radio. They have a special low-resistance cord for the H&K's, but it still doesn't allow enough output to the radio.

Let me add to the above, that my pleasant experience with the intercom was on the '99 with the old radio. It might suk on the new radio with the HD headsets too.

If you use PTT with the CB on everybody hears the conversation.  Not impressed with the VOX for the intercom either just doesn't work.

Crap, intercom is 80% of the reason to have the headset for me.  Maybe I'll stay with the "old fart" look of the HD set up, the VOX works well and the volume is fine.  They just look dorky.

I'll throw my opinion in here about the headsets...I used the HD version - even bought an extra set for Suzanne - on the HD Ultra Jet 3/4 helmets for about 3 months and thought they generally sucked in every regard, particularly for $179 bucks.  Sound is awful...tinny, with absolutely no bass that my ears can detect, and I used to mix sound for a R&R band.  I never listened to the stereo through them as it sounded like a 10 dollar transistor radio I had when I was 12 years old. The J&M is vastly superior, IMO...it's not a Bose headset, but beats the HD units by a long, long way.  We listen to the stereo almost exclusively through the headsets while traveling with the Nolan N102 on. The volume on the headsets will go waaay louder than I need it to, even with the Rineharts.  As far as the intercom, I've had no problem with the J&M, and found the VOX about as easy to break as it was on the HD units.  Suzanne, on the other hand, has problems with it, but in my opinion it's because she doesn't "get" how the thing works, meaning once you break VOX, you have to keep talking without pauses between words, or you have to break VOX again.  We had the same problem with the HD units, plus the voice quality sucked.  The mics on the J&M units are somewhat directionally sensitive...one side of the mic is more sensitive that the other.  IMO, part of the reason we sometimes don't understand what the other is saying has nothing to do with quality and more to do with not having visual ques...can't see the other persons lips moving.

So, Suzanne uses the PTT switch most of the time to tell me she's got to pee, or point out some other thing going down the road, but we generally don't yap going down the road, so that may be a reason I think it all works fine as is.  The J&M may not be perfect, but as far as I know, it's as good as it gets for the time being.  The umbilical cord from helmet to bike is by far easier to use, IMO, and it stays plugged in, without fumbling around trying to line the HD version up on the side of the helmet when you inevitably forget to plug yourself back in after putting the helmet on.

An organizer for the TP...the HD unit won't work well in the leather TP for the reasons mentioned above in other posts. Personally, I use small stuff sacks to keep things I want separated in...available at most sporting goods stores in almost any size imaginable, and multiple colors so you can keep chit you need in different colored ditty bags. Rainsuits stay in one all the time, small bottle of detailing spray and Micro rags in another...hats and such just get thrown in the TP.  The luggage liner we get with the leather TP, is about as useful as tits on a boar hog, so it never gets used.  The liners come out of the saddlebags when we are traveling...it's amazing how much more the luggage bags and saddlebags will hold without the liners in.  Items we need to get to quickly go in the Kury 4142 clamshell roll bag on the luggage rack, which has convenient pockets on each end for cell phone, do rags, comb, lip balm, small sunscreen lotion, etc.

Anyone experience high speed wobble on their Ultra Classic? Between 100 and 105 I had uncontrollable wobble and had to back off.  Tire psi is correct and everything else is ok.  True-track.com has a stabilizer to help this problem. Does anyone have experience with this product.  Please don't lecture on "you shouldn't be going that fast", my wife does a good job on that, and besides, sometimes it just happens.

Long time problem with several things to check.

Here's a thread on it:  High Speed Wobble.

Many of us have True-track or Ride-Str8, both products are effective at improving handling as well as Sta-bo bushings.

I have just installed the full True-track product set up including the tracula, too early to know if I have wobble, didn't previously and ride hard often.  Check out that thread though and it will have suggestions on fall away, steering head maintenance etc.

YES, THEY WERE DUST!!!!!!! I LIVE IN SOUTHERN AZ!!!! 60 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS THIS WEEKEND YOU EVER RODE THROUGH A DUST DEVIL????????? HELL WE HAD TO STOP AND BUY HELMETS OF ALL THINGS !!!WAS WEARING ME NECK OUT WITH GAILS HAND ON TOP OF MY NOGGEN TRING TO HOLD MY HAT ON!!!!!!!!!

Yes TC, I rode through your beautiful country last week.  Sedona to Phoenix to Tucson to Ruidosa.  There was a 50 mph cross wind that was literally lifting our helmets off of our heads.  We finally had to stop and take the helmets off to eliminate the buffeting and neck strain and keep our heads from going airborne.
And yes, we did also ride through a couple of dust devils.  That'll keep your attention.

Rob,
Both of ours are full Arai's.  She's got a Quantum and I have the Profile.  We just tried the i-com on the 07 this weekend.  Once I got the vox straight, it seemed to do just fine.  But we only went a relatively short distance and at slower speeds.  We did find you had to talk louder than what felt normal though.  It doesn't seem to be the same with the CB, where it feels more comfortable talking.  Maybe that's the way I keep her from riding on my bike with me!! ;D  She has the HD headset and I have the j&m.  Since we're going to get her a new helmet and she says she can really hear an improvement with the j&m, I'll order a headset for her new Quantum and put it in.
