Congrats to Mac and Terry, I have thought of doing the ABC tour but never seem to get organized and when on the road don't end up stopping for the opportunities to do it.

One of these days maybe.

every years i think about doing it, even map some of it out in my head. but then reality sets in and i decide i dont want to take the time to make all of the stops to get the pics

Congrats you two. I know from experience what a pain it can be to stop for those pics to prove you've been where you say you have. Sometimes you get in a zone and want to keep on rollin forever. Good for you. We've got some winners on this site for sure

We are considering a modified version/contest for our local HOG chapter this year.

Really good job Mac and Terry!

iski, my husband once was the activities director of a hog chapter North of where we live now.  He and a buddy instituted a Sunday morning pick-up ride for a couple of years.  Then the last year we were with this chapter (Best Friends Forever) he developed a ten day ride that captured the stopping places for ABC pictures.  He made sure he carried an extra copy of HOG Tales, a digital camera knew where the postoffice, road sign etc. was for people to stop, park and get picture taken.  If you went on the ten rides, you qualified for the second lowest prize from HOG.  If you missed one day, he provided the route for self completion of same locations.  It was fun.  We actually moved that year, and did not finish the routes ourselves, so we have never done it.  I think it great when anyone has the dedication to keep track of stuff like this.  I guess it goes along with the total mileage program. So easy to do, but I have never done it.  The iron butt, not like I have not rode the miles, just never kept the reciepts or set up the verifications to get the patch. I am very proud of those that take care of the little things to get this recognition.  Very Well Done Indeed!

I was activities director for a while and still get involved at the committee level for our local HOG chapter.  Riding with new folks is usually fun but there can be a few exceptions. Looks like we will start the ABC's of Florida this summer & run it until the end of the year for our chapter. I have never done the ABC's since I do not always stop to take the pics, etc.  Good idea to set up some rides around collecting some of the info, though as you & yur husband did.

Saw the pic today in HOG Tales (great pic!) - winning ABC's takes lots of dedication.
