Here's something I do in my garage that may or may not interest you. I don't like hard floors for several reasons. One is that when you drop something it bounces and ends up 10 ft from where you dropped it. Two, they're always cold Three, I like soft carpet under my feet Sooooo what I do is this. I live in SoCal where the housing density is pretty high. As such, there's always one of my neighbors having their carpet replaced. So when the stuff on my garage floor gets too crappy, I head over to whoever is having their house re-done, ask em if they have any plans for the old stuff and if not, can I leave a roll of carpet for the installers to haul off. So far it's always been yes yes so I roll up the crappy stuff on the floor of my garage and leave it in the neighbors driveway, pick out the best pieces of what they just had ripped out of their house and re-do my garage floor. Everyone who comes over loves it. With all the posters on the walls, and the old recliners etc, it's like a clubhouse. I've got a Handy Bob 1500 lift, 7.5 hp twin cylinder multi-stage compressor, a pile of air tools and all the handtools I need to take an H-D apart and put it back together. Cool Beans !
