Good Title! ;D You're right Jim, that's pretty clean for a crack. It looks like it split. There's a ridge directly above the hole. Is that a seam at the crack? That doesn't look like a single casting. Man that sucks. Good luck w/the new one! Hoist! 8)

WHY apply J-B Weld I think that you might mess up your warranty if you do that?

Yes, it's a seam, Howie.   And it's a welded one - the gap is caused by the weld having dropped right out, clean as a whistle.  The dealer has it.  A bad weld to start with, I think.

I have the bike here, Mike, and it can't even be started without spraying oil everywhere. I need to move it in and out my garage, if nothing else, and I can't do that without starting it.  Also, it let me at least get the A/C and exhausts changed, and my TMAT installed.

Warranty claim is already agreed, so no problem there.

Now that I have your attention at last, can I ask about your horn?  I've been trying to attract your attention to it in the horn thread, with no success! Can you tell me what parts you used, what they cost, and where you got them?  Cheers! :drink: :drink:

Jim  I bought it at mooneyes it is an AHOOGAH  Horn  You need to make a metal bracket to help support the mounting bracket that comes with it as it is made out of plastic which mine fell off as it gets hot around those cylinders.  It stayed on for about a year and I was lucky when it came off it did not hit anything or anyone... I am thinking of ordering a new one because I really do miss it.

Hopes this helps
Sometimes it helps to smack me in the head with a 2X4 to get my attention

Thanks Mike.  I want one!  :)   Is the horn itself made out of metal?

The horn body is metal but not chrome the Bell is chrome plastic...when you tuck it up into the cow bell I think it looks OK.

I think it looks good, Mike.  Found these http://www.auto-cruise.net/Chrome-Klaxon-Horn-p-16400.html - looks similar, so maybe I'll speculate....
