Nice Don.  Nice.  On yours is the little passenger hump removeable separately from what looks to be a solo seat by itself?  Looks like two pieces but couldn't tell for sure.

Don,  yes it a separate piece it has a flat tongue just like the front seat, and tightens with the bolt on the fender. Very simple to remove, It's plenty big for a passenger for a short trip. :nixweiss:

Don,

Did you pre-order? Or just make an appointment and go?

I gave my wife the suggestion that we could fly to the left coast and go to Hollister, she like the idea.

Duane,
We just rode down yesterday no appointment, picked out what we wanted and they made it there, they bought our lunch for us. Very nice restaurant. It took about four hours, one of the plant managers took me on a tour of the whole plant from start to finish. It was alot of fun seeing just how those seats are made.

Quality seats, neither of you fancy them in light tan?

Smiler,
No! Tan Ostrich I did try one on my bike and not going to say it was ugly, but just not for me. ( Sorry Don ) I'm a darker color person, I did try a blk ostrich with gray snake trim that looked good, there's some many combinations on the wall it just gets confusing, we parked the bike just out the door and started trying on seats.

I love the idea of a Black aND grey seat - eye catching contrast,

are there any other colour combo's, members would like to mention - what's the most radical anyone has seen?

    Scott,
Not a problem ride your bike in and when they put the unfinished seat on ( Before the Skin ) you set on it or ride it for as long as you want. Then if you need it cut or reshaped in anyway thats all done before the leather gets put on.
There were Two Ladys that got there at they said 8:30am and they were still working on there seat at 4:30pm trying to get it right :nixweiss: :nixweiss: Without getting in trouble "No I won't go there"

P.S. Let me throw is out there, if anybody wants a seat made by Corbin if you come out and if it would work I'd be willing to ride my bike over to Corbin and you could have it fit from mine. ( Duane or anybody else )

Hands down, Grover's "Thunder Mountain Mayhem bike" seat and matching parts.

Neat thing about Mark's seat is that you can see the profile better when the front wheel is a couple feet off the ground :huepfenjump3:

Hey Porthole, I gotta agree with you on Mark's seat being the coolest so far.....most radical for sure!   But these are some great looking Corbin's too!  I like that baby gator seat, but wonder how long that thin skin will last in the seating portion of the seat.. :-\....it's lookin' good!  :2vrolijk_21: har!  spyder

According to Corbin, they strongly advise against use on a seat panel. They say it will press out back to the original leather over a short time.

Very Nice indeed.  That begs the question regarding durability of the Corbin "specialty leathers"  I realize you guys have had your Corbins for a while does the "skin" type leathers actually press out as fast as they say?  I was interested in the Ost, Shark or Gator what is your expert opinions.  Can you actually get a look at the seat with different color leather on it...I cant seem to imagine what it would look like with various colors?
