Well how about a new topic to rev this forum back up a bit? Has anybody changed their SERK handlebars? I wouldn't mind a little more pullback but I know we need fat bars and none of em in the H-D goodie book look appropriate. Imagine it'd be a big job doing the change with internal wiring, etc.  I've heard of drilling holes in the fork cover to adapt pullback risers too. Any thoughts?

Rode with the beach bars.  They were comfortable and had good control.  Ya hafta like the position or you will hate them.

The Wild One 508's have significantly more pullback (about 16" total as opposed to the stock bar of about 12" of pullback).   Remember that you will have to change your risers to accomodate the 1" diameter at the clamp as our bikes have a full 1.250" bar/riser.  Also, you will have to special order the bars from Wild One with depressions in the bars for hydralic cylinders on both the brake AND the clutch side.

I got as far as finding out all of this, then decided that it was too much work to rewire, change risers, etc.   I found that if I hang from a chin up bar every night, my reach is better. [smiley=vrolijk_4.gif]

If you do it, the wiring is not that big of a deal.  You will have to remove your tank and buy a pin realease tool form harley.  I wired the bars on my Duece in one evening.  As far as which bars, the above posters know better than I.
