You may or may not remember, it was my 50th birthday Thursday, and Mr and Mrs Hoist's anniversary. JesterDecor had a cake made. How could I not post this picture? I don't do birthday parties and cake, BUT, had to make an exception this time.

Howie,
I know you'll see this when you get back from your adventure.

Happy Anniversary to you and the Mrs.

This is a photo of a mural in downtown Paducah Ky. It's painted on a flood wall.

Starting from the left, Don, Hoist and myself. some locals and Barry on the far right, before the accident. Everyone was trying out everyone else's scooter. Of course when they'd leave the driveway, they'd blast down the road WFO. Not long a city cop drives by very slow. Since we live out of the city limits Hoist asks, think we're the reason he drove by? I Guarantee it! So we decided to ride every bike across town to fuel up. As we get to the only light in town, the city cop drives past the other way and out of sight. Hoist decides to race with a local on a sportster, but in the wrong direction, we had to turn left. According to Don, he went from 0 to 60 and back to 0 in the space of two lanes width, before turning the right direction. Of course by that time, the sportster had already blown him away. Beat by a sportster? You didn't hear it from me.
BEAT BY A SPORTSTER :huepfenlol2: Cool pics and thanks for sharing. What no apossum with all those ribs and fixins?

Paducah Ky is halfway between Possum Trot and Monkey's eyebrow. I sware. We passed through Possum Troy WFO and I locked it down for this photo Op. It's sorta opposite of the flick, The Clampetts go to Maui.

Ed, Barry and myself rode to Nashville to meet Howie and Barrie Wednesday. We had picked a certain exit off of Briley Parkway, and had said the first service station. We got there early and Howie was about 5 minutes late because of rain, road construction and wrecks on I-24. Otherwise he would have made his 275 mile ride and gotten there before we finished our 175 mile ride. We were sitting there waiting when all of a sudden a bike with two crazy looking people came whizzing across 6 lanes of traffic and across the station parking lot about 60 MPH. Yup, that's gotta be him. He was grinnin like chit eatin possum. How weird is it a red neck KY hillbilly and a inner city New Yorker becomes brothers?

It was as if we'd known each other for years. Like I said earlier, I've got a friend and brother for life. That crazy New Yawker is A-ok. As you'all may have read he wants to retire to the South. I'm thinking Chip and NC may have lost out, he wants to move to paradise. We've already located a castle for his princess.

Wow, I just found this! Great thread and awesome pics! Thanks everyone, from Barrie and myself, for the Anniversary good wishes. And special thanks to Brian. I almost felll off my chair that his post was totally serious without some type of ribbing. But hey, we got plenty of time for that. And I really do appreciate the sincerity B B! My only regret is that ALL of you couldn't be there to share it with us! I know Nelson will be fun, but too bad we all won't be together in Hot Springs. But you West Coast guys look out, I gotta find a way to get together with all you guys too! I'll be starting a thread of my adventure elsewhere. Say tuned for it, if you have time to read it all! ;) Hoist! 8)

Well hoist I guess I have to tell the story about the drag race. I thought you or HB would tell it but guess not. We left Arlington Ky. headed south on highway 51. when we got straight in the road I cracked the throttle on my big old stock cherry  :cherry:When I shiffed [not shifted] shiffed into fifth gear at about a hunnert hoist was still behind me. Ilet off so him and HB  could catch up. When we got to HBs home. Hoist came up with some lame brained story about a rolling start??????? Gotta be something form NYC!!!!!!!. Maybe I did get a little jump on the boys but HEY it felt good for a while. HA HA HA.Oh yea  Hoist I forgot to tell ya. I do have a tuner I got ftom HB A power commander. but I cant tell it does any good!
