How many are using the 140 on the 2003 serk? Talk to a couple of brothers  rideing around Shiloh, Tenn. this week end saying they are getting around 18000 miles out of a rear Dounlap 140 on 2004  TC 88 dressers. Almost sounds to good. Has anyone had this good of luck with the 140 ?   don

I had the Metzler reps look at my SERK down here during Bike Week and they said no way without modifications. The combination of the wide belt and lowered supension leaves no room for the 140.

Macker thats what Sills HD ran into when they tryied to install a 140 on a serk. For now I'll keep what I got. Not worth the money to me for a few .00 of a inch wider rear tire. don

Hey Don,
I just had a set of ME880 put on the ole flhrsei at 52,300 and used the stock sizes and there is a world of difference. I see NO need to go bigger (140) for what little Xtra you get, and it will need replacing in 10K anyway. The Metzlers have a better tread pattern for sure ......I doub't I will ever go back to the Dunlops.

Just put one on the rear of my 02. I chose to remove the belt guard as it rubbed slightly and didn't feel like triming the ugly plastic. I may get the chrome metal guard and grind a little off.  The tire looks great and the bike feels more stable. The tire rubs backing out of the garage but tracks fine moving forward.  No more Dunlops for me.
