Rode up Thursday to see all the CVO members who had gathered at Hogbreath's (Ken and Cheri), and JestorDecor's house for that leg of Hoist's trip through the South. Rode up through the backroads all the way to Paduka, KY to pay a visit to Four Rivers HD, home of Kentuckyharleydude, formerly Bamaharleydude, who is now the GM at the dealership. After a short visit with him, and a purchase of a SE shirt, rode back 40 miles south to Clinton, KY and found Hogbreath's house. He has a beautiful home, and he and Cheri were gracious hosts, putting everyone up better than a motel, feeding everyone some absolutley delicious BBQ and fixin's, and endless supply of cold beverages.
I cannot say enough about how great it was to meet several CVO site members...it never ceases to amaze me how everyone I've met from this site are simply TRUE brothers and sisters. It's like I've known them all my life, right off the bat. We are very lucky to have such a great site, which provides a way for us to get together whenever possible and spend some quality time getting to know one another better. It's just unbeliveable....I cannot thank Ken and Cheri enough for their hospitality and warm welcome.
Met Hoist and his lovely bride, Barri, Ken and his beatiful wife, Cheri, Ed (deepsoutheagle), who is a hoot and a great guy, Don, Travis, Mav (Jerry) and his wife, Barry (displacing air). Please forgive me not remembering the names of some of the spouses I met, and a couple of other local friend/riders of Ken and Cheri.
After having a few beers, eating until we were just about miserable, everyone riding everybody else's bike to see how different they all are, we decided to ride into Clinton and gas up for the following morning's ride East, terrorizing the town and alerting the local city police to our presence (he had to drive by the house just a couple of times to let us know he was there).
After a good nights sleep, we left Friday morning headed to pick up Barry, and to later meet Jerry (Mav). We had a great ride across KY on Hwy 62, a nice two lane road. Afer stopping for a break, I left the group headed back South to B'ham about 2:00 PM Friday. Total distance traveled for me was almost 900 miles, and well worth it!! Arrived home about 8:15, just at dark. Unfortunately, Suzanne was not able to attend this GTG, so this was a solo trip for me. We will have to visit Ken and Cheri together another time, and of course look forward to seeing the whole crew at Hot Springs in September.
Hoist is a gem, and I'm proud to have taken the opportunity to meet him in person.

Here are all the bikes lined up just after I arrived Thursday:
