Personally, the 264's (635 lift) are a little to radical for these 110's under w.....ty for my liking. Would love to go radical, but these engines don't seem to be able to handle that at this point. Wouldn't consider them until splitting the cases and doing Timkin conversion and welded flywheels. If you're doing a 110 conversion anyway, you can do that while you're in there. '07 CVO guys have to disassemble the engine just for that. I'm going with the 257's (569 lift) or 258's (569 lift) next week, and will still maintain full w.....ty! Hoist! 8)

The stage 2 kit is a kit from harley not a made up kit.   If you already have a 110 engine though you do not need the cylinders or the heads that come in this kit as you already have EXACTLY these heads and cylinders on your bike.

What you would need to purchase is

10.5 to 1 pistons  (changed from 10.25)
SE 260 cam

Associated gaskets

What you would most likely want to purchase with this

SE Race Tuner
SE Perfect Fit Pushrods
SE Roller Rockers  (any time I go over .600 lift cam and this one is .609 I choose roller rockers ) noisy though.
Rocker Box Clearancing front and rear
A pipe that will flow good
SE or similiar Air Cleaner with K/N / Zippers / Ness Filter
SE 50mm Throttle body

Howie,

I had the 257 cam put into my SERK a couple months ago and I am not happy with it right now.  The GM of my dealer who is an engine guy recomended it, but the dyno numbers were not what either of us expected.  He has requested some info from an engineer in the SE division that he knows and I hope to hear the answer soon.  They are going to work with me on whatever we need to do to get better results.

You may want to think about holding off on the 257 until I hear what the SE engineer thinks.  You have different pipes, but the rest is virtually the same as mine.  You can see my info from this mod at

Thanks for the info Doug. After further research, I'm not going with the 257 or 258. I'm bringing it in on Fri and will work with them to still use all HD parts, which they will fully stand behind, and still try to rebuild it so I'm happy. Hoist! 8)

The latest edition of the Screamin' Eagle catalog lists only a 110 stage 1 kit, no stage 2 kit mentioned anywhere.

GRC,

It didnt make the catalog, but it appears now that the kit has been discontinued and no superceeding number has been put out there.

Actually Hoist that is what you have to do or your getting an extra set of heads / juggs .

The million dollar question is going to be whether they continue to sell the kit / pieces as they have become quite scarce all of a sudden.   Only the pushrods / cam seem to be common place items.

Yeah Harry, guys are making pistons for them too, as those SE pistons are discontinued now, as you know. Doesn't sound like HD has much confidence in these engines. Either that, or they're making wholesale changes again in '08! ;) Hoist! 8)

I think what we're seeing is Harley being forced to get out of the business of making it easy for us to violate the EPA regs. It seems logical that the EPA would be upset about how the current system works.
