Well I guess it's about time I make this official. Donna and I got engaged last month. We were on a trip to Chicago and I popped the question. Here I was out of work and at the moment without any job offers and she still said yes.

What the heck was she thinking?

Haven't set a date yet, we don't even know where yet. We've kicked around everywhere from Cape cod to Hawaii and quite a few places in between. If anybody has any "creative" ideas I'm open to suggestions.

Congratulations Ed........perhaps you could exchange vows while in freefall during a 14.5K' skydive.  Renea and I thought about it, but she would have to learn.  Then I had my one and only reserve chute ride, so I quit skydiving.  We ended up getting married at the JOP's house.  Its all good.

The story is that plan A fell through, and I went with whatever I could come up with at the time.

It makes for an interesting story tho.

Thanks for all the well wishes, Donna has truly brought peace and completeness to my life. Of course at times it was with a sledge hammer, but I can honestly say that I am happier then I have ever been. She has stood by me through some tough times and has supported me when there were hard decisions to be made. Because of her I’m a better father and person.

Thanks ISKI, I did run your Antarctic idea by Donna and she said okay as long it was by plane, on long boat ride, never figured on that one!

We watched an old side car setup ride by the house the other day but Donna wants to train the cat to ride in it? Not sure about that deal, the cat refuses to wear a helmet. Cats!

Donna had that idea too, although neither one of has ever sky dived. Then she said her mother would throw a fit if she couldn't be there too. Seeing that her mother had a heart attack last month, no nothing to do with the engagement, we crossed that idea from the list. Mom-in-law however is doing great now, maybe we could do that...
