King tour pack part# for red cherry SEEG2
« on: June 01, 2007, 02:54:39 PM »

Does anyone have the part# for a king tour pack painted the same as our bikes (cherry)?

Can we get a Ultra style tour pack with the extra lights painted  the same?

I believe JR has a Ultra style tourpack for his Nanner?

I did a search but couldn't find anything definitive.  Any other advice would be appreciated regarding the change to a King.  Thanks in advance-Bob

You can get the King Tour Pak. Here is the P/N 53172-05BSB and it can be viewed here - Color-Matched King Tour-Pak® for '97-'05 FLHR and FLHT Models. I'm sure the dealer could find/order the lights that you wanted to add to it.

Bob, the paint to match paks don't come with the cutouts for the Ultra lights.  To accomplish what you're considering you buy the new heinously expensive tour pak and then immediately cut huge hunks out of it.  We're all sick bastards sometimes....

I didn't realize that. I know mine has chrome accent pieces on the side and I just thought they would pop out/unscrew and that's where the lights would go. Never thought about putting lights on mines because it doesn't stay on enough to have them there.

The holes for side lights are under that chrome trim Gary.  It's the large holes for the Ultra lights that would have to be cut out for.

Ok, gotcha. The lights you are talking about that would need to be cut out are the ones more to the corners?

The big ass lights that, when included with their trim, occupy the entire back end of the tour pak.  I remember a photo in JR's birthing thread that showed his banana King Pak with the holes cut in it but no lights mounted yet.  It is LARGE holes cut in the rear corners of the tour pak.  Making room for something like this:

Bob, as the guys have indicated, you can buy the King tour pack and add the ultra classic lights.  But please know that the ultra classic speakers will not work with the stock SEEG stereo head unit.  There's a couple threads in here from 2004 with letters posted from the MoCo and from Radio Sound about it.

JR's king tour looks great. We quite often have both our nanas parked beside each other and I droll over the king vrs the chopped on mine. But since mine is set up for solo, I never could get the right side of my brain to go for the $$$ to go for the king. In fact, I only use the chopped on trips. But if my wife ever decided to hop back on, I'd buy the king with lights in a second. :2vrolijk_21:
