Okay I don't want to sound like a know it all, but heres my take.I purchased a bike that I thought would stand out and that because of the price tag and limited production numbers i was going to be different...............Supposedly there were only a specific number of bikes built but then you tell me why in my small circle of friends which is not that big, there are 10 Black and Blue bikes, well we see plenty more around in Orange and many more BB in the Chicagoland area. ..............I got to my garage put the bike away and went to my computer and Iam going to list it on Ebay with 500 miles on it. When you see it on there and see that my high bid only got as far as 25 or 26 thousand think of me and how special I feel now.

Heavy, One has to be naive to think in a high market Chicago land area you would stand out on your black and blue SEEG! There are 18 dealers JUST in the Chicago Land area and at least 13 more in IL. If one is really intrested  in getting that beautiful BB they can go up to Milwaukee and find 18 more dealers there. If your like me and willing to go anywhere in the US to find that beautiful bike (in my case it's the Yellow) One can find over 100 dealers within a reasonable driving distance from the Chicago area. Heavy I have the perfect answer to your problem. Do like I did 25 years ago, leave Chicago and move to Memphis!!!!!! Wait a minute hear me out. First, you can get twice the house you live in for the same price! Second, you can ride year round! Third, you can see Elvis...you know he is still alive,[smiley=elvis.gif] cruise downtown to Beale street, catch some Blues and Brews and enjoy the Memphis famous barbecue.

I would choose to feel it's unlikely as seeing JC and Magoo riding Naked on JC's SEEG! It is possible...but highly unlikely!!

I am getting this bike because of what is on it and comes off it and I'm Blessed to be able to afford it! I ride because I love to! Not because I want to be seen or relish by others. JR, just think, you're this pumped up over your SEEG and you don't even have it yet!  Just wait until that first ride.  You will not be dissappointed - the first impressions are long and lasting.  I'm still as head-over-heals in love [smiley=smitten.gif] with my SEEG as when I got it 14 mos. ago.  But that's because I bought the bike for what it is: a beautiful, highly-optioned and customized touring bike with a STROKER MOTOR (oh, yeah!!!), not what it is not: a super-rare, I got one but you don't (na, na, na, na, na-na), profiling, ego-boosting investment in my kid's college education.

Heavy, JR makes some great points about the metropolitan area you live in.  I mean, they made in excess of 1,500 of the '04 SEEGs in the B/B combination and with the saturation of dealerships and population in your immediate area you're bound to run into a few.  Instead of being turned off by it, perhaps try treating it as if you would seeing other SEEGs at any number of motorcycle events you might attend and introduce yourself to them and this great site!  That way, you meet some new riding buddies (I can tell you from experience in the Smokies last fall that nothing, and I mean NOTHING looks cooler than a train of SEEGs winding through your favorite roads)and hopefully do them a favor, too, by letting them know of this resource.

Let me just say this, the bike is fantastic we luv them thats why were all on here.
