Hyper Lite Install and Other Additions to Henry's SEUC
« on: June 01, 2007, 08:05:25 PM »

Thought I'd show off some of the additions I've made to my scooter over the past few months.  First, I think most of you who know me know that I tend to be very particular about my scooter, so these first few pictures detail how I store my bike.  I washed my bike on Wednesday, dried it with a leaf blower, briefly went over it with a microfiber and covered her up.  That's it.  Tomorrow I plan to apply a fresh coat of Glare and do a complete detail, but for now, this is how she looks.

In the garage.

Last covered view.  Yes, I actually gather up the excess cover material and clamp it tight around the rear end.

New tank hardware and braided SS fuel crossover line.  Also note the black emerald looks decent in this picture.

Now for the Hyper Lite.  This is how the rear end looks with everything turned off.

This is how it looks with power on the bike without brakes applied.

And this is how it looks with brakes applied, save for these lights flash constantly and they are VERY bright.  I suppose I was lucky to get this picture with them at this level.

Liner removed looking at where I made the power connection into the plug which would be used on an Ultra Tour Pak.  I tinned the ends of the wires with solder, inserted them into the correct pin locations and sealed the end of the plug with RTV.

These next shots detail wire routing.  Note the telco clamps.  These things spooge dilectric grease when you clamp them.  Also note I hate splices, which is why I choose to tin the wire ends and seal them into the connector with RTV.  That way no wires are compromised, and I can remove it later without damage if I ever decide to change to a different light system.
