Part Number Needed
« on: June 03, 2007, 01:31:51 PM »

Does anyone know the correct Part Number for the Stock Muffler Support/Saddlebag Guard Combo on the FLH's? The SERK comes with Muffler Support only. I'd like to use the ones with the Saddlebag Guards built in, with the Hard Bags I'm installing. I can use my Saddlebag Guard Bags on them too. TIA.

Even better is that they are cheap too (by Harley standards).  If I remember correctly I got mine from Zanotti's for less than $20 per side.  Bought the "low profile" version of the forward pieces on eBay for about $40.  Only thing I grabbed at the dealership were a couple of those very flat and very wide special bolts that hold the crash bar down to the frame under the seat.

Just in case you were also looking for the rear Dresser Bars as well as the muffler support; the part numbers for a ’07 FLHR are 49201-97 for the right and 49205-97 for the left.

These are the part numbers for the bars without the holes for the Saddlebag Rails found on the FLHTC and Ultra.

Here ya go Howie.  Thought I remembered seeing this recently.  They've actually finally put it all in a kit part number.  Everything you'll need in one place.

84 still had the battery behind the right side saddle bag as opposed to under the seat. I'd imagine that is part of the reasoning. :nixweiss:

Don,
Any reason you know why that kit doesn't include the SEEG, but does the SEEG2?

Am I to assume I need both these? All I want to do is have the standard FLH Saddlebag  Guard the connects to the standard FLH Muffler Support. Is that the kit Don posted, to go along with the P/N's dj posted for the '07 SERK? I thought this would be simple. :nixweiss:

Smiler, I'm working a deal with a painter in Washington State. After I work out all the details, TNFatboy and I are getting them done. The painter also will work out painting the Blue and Red too! I'll let you guys know the deal. I'm shipping mine out next week!

Howie, as I read that kit part number's description it is everything.  Inclusive of crash bars, replacement brackets below the bags and appropriate hardware.  One part number for all you wish to do.

I misread it. The guard bags are sold separately. This does look like the complete kit. Not a bad price either! Thanks Don. Hoist! 8)

Don, it says the saddlebag guards are sold separately. I don't want the saddlebag rails that wrap around tha bags, Just the uiffler supports with the tee for the saddlebag guards in front of the bags, Like a standard RK or Dresser. Again, more confusion. Why don't they tell the whole story? Hoist!

Howie, it says the guard bags are sold separately.  Those leather bags that can be mounted on the rear crash bars is what that description is referring to.
