Washable key fob
« on: June 03, 2007, 02:59:03 PM »

When I looked in the usual place this morning to grab a key fob and one was missing I thought for a couple of seconds and then Oh chit, I’d left it in the shorts I’d worn last evening to wash the bike and they had since been washed and dried.  Much to my surprise, it worked fine.

I've lost count of how many times my key and fob have been washed and dryed.  Downy Fresh!  And it works like new. :2vrolijk_21:

You did not use Harley soap when you washed it yet it still worked.   :nixweiss:  Amazing.  :huepfenjump3:

Had to soak it after in Amzoil, get Zipper's 575 cams, D&D Fatcat exhaust, Progressive 440 shocks, and polish it with Glare.  Then it will really work great.

My key fob, if it had a voice, would be jealous.  I am impressed.  It has only a key ring, stock, and is plain black plastic with no colorful paint schemes - no matching CVO colors or anything.  I shall not show it this thread, for the obvious reasons.    It only it were red - then it would be the fastest of the key fobs.     :cherry:   :huepfenjump3:  :huepfenjump3:  :huepfenjump3:

I've never had my own nails done, but I see some pretty exotic examples out there.  It may be so good, you won't be able to use it as you won't want to chip the paint.
