Reading through my handy dandy manual I think I can do this. However this leaves me with a question... Do I load the entire file posted above on the disc or a certain part of it?

Are these the US dealers? What GPS are you using? On my Zumo I have a POI Loader program that I use to load my POI's. I've only loaded states I would/will be traveling in instead of the entire US. There has been some that have had trouble w/Zumo's when they loaded all of the US (locked up), and I've also heard that it has made the Zumo slower when all of them were loaded (memory usage). I guess you could load them to a SD card, but I just prefer loading the states I'm going to be traveling in so I don't have to worry about inserting card or using up available memory in the unit.

There's a read me file that contains a few instructions, if that doesn't help e-mail the gentleman that created the file (dave817@msn.com), he's always happy to answer questions.

Does anyone know what website the POI's came from? I remember that there was a GPS forum but can't remember the site. TIA, AJ

AJ,
Just did a Google search for POI and got these - GPS POI. See if one of those have what you need.

Hey gang, how about some help for the new Zumo guy? ;D

I downloaded the zip file from this thread, and the POI Loader from Garmin. I have the zip file on my desktop. How the heck do you install it? Do you need the SD card for it (which I didn't get yet) or will it fit in the Zumo memory? If you need the SD card, mine will be in soon. How do I load this in? TIA and get ready for more questions soon! ::)

Start by unzipping the POI file. Then you should see several folders.... Harley Dealers All, Harley Dealers by State, etc. Then you start POI Loader, point it to the files you want load in your Zumo and the will be uploaded. I load mine directly to the Zumo, but I only load the states I'm going to be travelling in I don't load all US. If you load states by themselves you can load multiple at a time, but remember to load the state *.gpx file and state *.bmp file.

Unzip? I open up the folder that i downloaded and it contains these folders you mention. Do I need to get them out of the main zippered folder I downloaded? Do I need a program for this? Thanks d00d! :2vrolijk_21:
