If you order a Corbin seat, order one designed especially for the SEEG. The have several to choose from (dual tour, solo, stinger solo, rumble seat, etc).

"Fit's better" or "looks better" is very much a subjective choice.  All I can tell you is that I prefer the way the Road King seat covers and fits.  I don't dislike the SEEG specific seat so much, I just like the way the Road King seat does it better.

The SEEG seat tries to mold up snugly right behind the tank.  And it does a good job of it.  Fits better than most seats do that try to meet a tank like that.  But that's just a hard bit of contour matching to do there and really have things super matched.  The Road King seat, however, doesn't even pretend to try to mate up behind the seat like that.  Because of what it already does over the end of the Road King dash that seat just comes up over the end of the dash and and lays up on top.

It's just two distinctly different looks.  I happen to prefer the Road King type.  But I didn't know that until after I had the SEEG saddle in place.  Look at pictures of any Road King seat and you'll see the difference in the nose of the seat.

2Lane,

Just to make sure I got this right, are you saying that the RK seat seems to fit better on

OK, you made me bite. We are trying to get my bike to state of "OK" before we take a pic to post. I have a corbin solo seat with rail that I want to move the tour pack up to..... a two into one muffler to quit burning my left thigh and stuff.

JC, since you mention I do remember reading a thread where you described your bike being a template for our seats.  I'd also not seen the Road King seat specifically on the SEEG and was only going by the way it fit on the Road Kings.  Again, so as not to make anyone think I'm dis-ing the Corbin SEEG seat on the SEEG, it fits fine.  There is a bit more of a gap between the seat and tank than I might like.  And that gap varies a bit from one time to anothe when the seat is on or off.  But it's actually small and I'm really being pretty picky with it (for what they charge for their seats you earn that privilege).

The Corbin certainly fits better in that same area than did the stock seat.  It's just that, like so many things, I wish it were even better than it was.

I suspect that Mrs. WeCVO will be riding solo as I can't quite picture "hubby" jumping on the back.  In that event, I would certainly recommend the Corbin Stinger model made expressly for the SEEG.  I've used one on my scoot since it was new as I always ride single and can't really say enough good about the fit, comfort and wearability.  As with any Corbin, comfort starts around 3000 miles and this one was no exception.  I've ridden it now about 8000 on my '04 and it really fits.  The fit at the tank is perfect and I may well be as picky as ol' 2lane.  Just a thought.

Here's the link to a thread that has a pic of a Corbin Stinger on my SEEG. As you can see, it's fits the tank and dash like a glove :)
