There is a plus though with Don.  I can usually talk him into installing things for me.  Only costs me a six-pack, and its better work than I get a the dealership.
Oh no doubt. He will work for beer. :huepfenlol2:

Travis,
I feel for you. First thing Don does is get you over and you see all the things he's done, then he tells you we can do the same to yours, then you have a few beers, next thing you know the UPS truck is stopping at your house. :huepfenlol2:

Some "God"   ???  I'm the guy who wouldn't ride his bike over 10mph after putting on the flush mount axle, cause I was sure I would feel that sudden stop when forks hit pavement.   :nervous:

But they didn't did they?  So the fault was not in the wrenching but in the nads  :huepfenlol2: .

Not doubting his mechanical abilities more so then I'm speaking of the influence a certain individual would have on him. ;)

Yes, I am susceptible to "the pucker factor."  What can I say, I'd like to keep my nads right where they are.   :bananarock:

Wrong. Try again. Give you a hint..... look in the mirror and the person you're looking for will look like that. ;D Not to say that he's a bad egg, but he is influential when it comes to making mods to your scooter. ;)

John...they had something other than the saddlebag sized unit?  If the Vrod is going to have ABS, I can assure you there is not room for that monstrosity...you can barely pry a PCIII on board.  Or any other bike in the lineup that is not a bagger.  Hoping that this is a new design, and much, much smaller than a shoebox...

Don't know, Terry.  I only saw an FLHP listed w/ABS and didn't have time to really look it over.  Unfortuantely, I'm still very old school and don't want ABS on anything I've got.  Everything I own that has it takes longer to stop UNLESS conditions are very slippery.  There it's only slightly better.

John, the cop bikes have had ABS as an option since 2005 or so.  A requirement they had to meet to be included in many state's bid systems that followed a California requirement (as many states often do).  We are all hoping against hope, however, that THAT system isn't the mass production consumer system.  It's freaking huge.  Kills the utility of one saddlebag by occupying half of it or so with pump and other associated hardware.  It's a real kludge of a bike ABS system.

The ABS system on the Goldwings works well.  Braking tests suggest it's a benefit too.  The BMW system is probably the sweetest of them all in the bike world though.  Small.  Effective.  Harley should steal one and reverse engineer it if they can't do anything better than what they've done on the cop bikes.
